‘Dallas Buyers Club’ Movie Review (Oscar Nominated)

I’m just catching up to this really good film. I now understand that the accolades for Matthew and Jared’s acting is well deserved. Great performances for both (yet I HOPE they never lose that kind of weight again for a role). Based on a true story. Definitely worth checking out before the Oscars (3/2) since it’s nominated for Best Picture.

‘I, Frankenstein’ Movie Review

The demographic for this movie is definitely “male”….males who love to play video games. Very cheesy and I see why it didn’t get good box office sales last weekend when it opened. I like most sci-fi movies yet this one didn’t hold my attention. Some of the action scenes are decent. I did see it in 3D and it was ok but I’d say save your extra bucks, better yet, wait for the dvd rental.

‘Labor Day’ Movie Review

The genre for this film is romantic/drama (IMO). Pretty good storyline, decent acting and somewhat predictable. A love story evolves despite the seriousness of their chance meeting. The back story of the main characters is revealed (pay close attention) while the current day storyline builds. Definitely a chick flick that is worth checking out. I was surprised to see Tobey McGuire in a small role (he’s the adult child to Kate’s character).
