‘Godzilla’ Movie Review

Well if you’re a fan of the old-school Godzilla movies then I’m sure you’re all hyped up to see this re-boot of the franchise. There have been quite a few Godzilla movies made over the decades and I was generally looking forward to seeing a new-school Godzilla movie on the big screen that compares with this millennium’s monster movies and has all the special effects. I’m happy to share that I did enjoy this movie. I saw it in 3D which I did enjoy yet you’d probably enjoy it in 2D as well. The storyline is typical that leads to Godzilla fighting a monster or two, lol. I liked the lead up to seeing the giant lizard yet once Godzilla is shown we don’t see as much of her? (she had a baby in the old-school movies so I think Godzilla is a female, lol). I was expecting a 5 star re-boot yet this film falls short of it. In the end, Godzilla, always shows who the best monster is so I was a happy camper. I’m hoping this movie does well at the box office so the director/producers can make an even bigger and better Godzilla next time.

‘Million Dollar Arm’ Movie Review

‘Million Dollar Arm’ is a true story that I wasn’t aware of (baseball enthusiasts probably are). This is a heartwarming journey of two young men from India to fulfill a new dream of becoming baseball super stars in America. They had to learn the game of baseball because in India they played cricket. There’s humor along the way and a story that grabs your attention and hits a homerun.

‘Belle’ Movie Review

Belle banner

If you’re a historical movie fan, then I’m sure you will enjoy this well told true story of Dido Elizabeth “Belle”. Dido, an illegitimate mixed race daughter of a Royal Navy Admiral is raised by her aristocratic great-uncle. She’s raised as a royal yet she couldn’t live all the advantages of her royal blood due to her mixed race (black/white). Good acting by all and a movie worth checking out. In select (artsy) theatres now.
