‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ Movie Review

Hobbit 3 banner

What an epic conclusion to this trilogy.  I really enjoyed this entire movie.  The beginning picks up directly from the end of part two.  Great battle scenes and everything a true Hobbit fan would expect to see.  I did see it in IMAX 3D and it was fabulous!

‘Into The Woods’ Movie Review

Into The Woods banner

I found this musical fairy tale of sorts to be funny and entertaining (the singing is not so good to me other than from those I know who can sing). This musical is a bit dark and not for children in my opinion yet it is being marketed towards children. Overall, a good cast…not a must see but if you want a laugh, check it out.

‘Annie’ (2014) Movie Review

Annie banner

The best musical movie I’ve seen in awhile. This is a great modernized version of a classic. There’s good singing and not too much of it, lol. Quvenzhané Wallis is an Oscar nominated actress and she holds her own as Annie. Great ensemble cast with chemistry throughout the movie. There’s a music video with cameos from a few well known celebrities.  Producers on the film include:  Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith and Jay Z.!  This is a great film for the whole family to see this Holiday Season!

‘Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb’ Movie Review

Night at the Museum banner

This is a fun movie for the whole family to see this Holiday Season! Just as fun and funny as the original film in this trilogy. The monkey is so funny and watch out for those slick dance moves, lol. Lots of character in all the characters and just plain fun. Also, I believe this is Robin Williams last film…I think he’d be proud of this film. Spoiler: really funny cameo by Hugh Jackman.

‘Horrible Bosses 2’ Movie Review

Horrible Bosses 2 banner

What a great sequel! Much better than the first and very funny. Great chemistry between the cast and just pure laugh out loud fun. It’s been in theatres just over 2 weeks…check it out this Holiday Season on the big screen. Don’t bring the children.

‘Exodus: Gods and Kings’ Movie Review

Exodus G & K banner

Much better than I thought it would be (I was afraid it would be as horrible as ‘Noah’ that was released earlier this year). I don’t think this film will become a classic yet it holds it’s own in an updated version (somewhat) of ‘The 10 Commandments’. Don’t expect this film to follow the biblical story as it is in the Bible. If you’re knowledgeable of Egyptian history, the movie doesn’t follow the era of time correctly (per someone I know of). Overall, entertaining.

‘Top Five’ Movie Review

Top Five banner

A great comedic ensemble cast is a winner for the film yet the storyline falls short. If you want to laugh, the go check this film out. I laughed out loud. This film is not for children for all the raunchy sex/nude scenes. Lots and cameo scenes with well known celebrities. There’s one surprise at the end…but I won’t give it away (it’s funny). A Love & Hip Hop star makes it to the big screen.

BTW, My top five: 1. Salt & Pepa 2. Heavey D 3. Run DMC 4. Whodini
5. Will Smith LOL, have fun selecting your top five.

NOTE: I have two ratings for this film

4 stars for the comedy; 2.5 stars for the storyline
