‘Collide’ Movie Review

I had high expectations for this film especially with Anthony Hopkins on board. Well, I thought it was a waste of time. This is my fave genre for movies yet the action scenes fall flat and the acting sucks. Don’t waste your money on this one.

‘Rock Dog’ Movie Review

The premise of the movie is a dog wanting to be a rock star…hooks up with a rock star cat for guidance and the journey ensues. Nothing about this movie held my attention and it’s doubtful that there will be a sequel yet most children should find it entertaining while viewing.

‘A Cure for Wellness’

I saw this movie last weekend in it’s first weekend release yet the ending was so disturbing to me that I didn’t want to write a review. I don’t like movies about incest and had that not been the build up for the storyline it still wouldn’t be a movie worth checking out. Early on, some scenes are picturesque but it’s a creepy movie. I wouldn’t waste my money going to see this one.

‘Bitter Harvest’ Movie Review

Based on the true story about the Holodomor, (the death-by-starvation program) that ultimately killed millions of Ukrainians.  Set in the 1930’s Ukraine there’s a young couple fighting for their love and the love of their families and country. It’s unbelievable that food would be withheld from a country of people.

‘Get Out’ Movie Review

This is not the genre of movie I usually watch yet I took one for the M.U.S.E. Enthusiasts team, lol. I was surprised that it wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be and if I had just watched the movie without over thinking what else could happen, I would have enjoyed it more. There are scary and gory scenes and lots of humor. It ended the way it should have.

‘The Great Wall’ Movie Review

This movie reminded me of good Saturday afternoon kung-fu movies from back in the day…yet there’s no kung-fu in this movie, lol. I knew there was a monster but I had no other expectations for this movie and I ended up enjoying it in IMAX 3-D.

‘I Am Not Your Negro’ Movie Review

This movie is the envisioned finished book of James Baldwin. He only wrote 30 pages of the book before he died in 1987. Three of the most well known and haunting assassinations of black men are discussed. Quite thought provoking!

‘Fist Fight’ Movie Review

If you want to laugh at corny, lewd and ridiculous lines, then this is the movie for you. There’s nothing heavy to deal with in the storyline. Laugh out loud jokes…especially a school talent show scene that was really funny!!!! There will probably be a sequel as long as this one makes a little money. P.S. I didn’t like the premise or execution of teachers fighting.

‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ Movie

I really enjoyed this funny animated lego movie! I didn’t really like the original movie from 2014 but I thought this one was laugh out loud funny for the young and young at heart. I saw it in IMAX and it was great (I didn’t see it in Real D 3D).
