‘Crown Heights’ Movie Review

Based on a true story, Colin Warner is falsely accused and convicted of murdering someone in the neighborhood. He spent over 20 years in prison as friends raised money and fought for his freedom. The acting is pretty good contrary to over reviews. Good acting performance from Kerry Washington’s husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, whom he portrays, Carl ‘KC’ King.

‘Tuplip Fever’ Movie Review

Based on the bestseller novel…we have a love triangle that the husband is unaware of. This is a sensual story with a lot of heart yet the love is only breaking hearts for everyone directly around the couple. Through the lies, deceit, love, and willingness to help maybe everyone gets their happy ending…even with some humor along the way.

‘The Layover’ Movie Review

This is probably the quirkest of them all girls trip type of movie. Friendship should mean more than competing for a man…who’s not available anyway. Yeah, there are laughs but I wouldn’t run out to pay theatre rates.

‘Patti Cakes’ Movie Review

Keeping it real…we have a character that society wouldn’t define as a rapper yet she has the rhymes and talent yet will she push herself past her dysfunctional family and neighborhood surroundings to s trike stardom? It’s a decent movie. It’s not showing at most theatres so you will have to look for it.
