‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ Movie Review

The storyline is simple yet each scene is so engaging because of character development and great acting. The audience doesn’t get the desired ending yet there’s fulfillment in most of the scenes. It’s a different kind of film yet worth checking out. I expect many award nominations.

‘Welcome To Marwen’ Movie Review

This partial Claymation movie is actually based on a true story of a man being beaten close to death and he created this fictional doll world to cope. The storyline was different to me and didn’t mesh well yet I’m sure it will probably get award nominations.

‘Holmes & Watson’ Movie Review

Quite simply, this is a comedic take on the classic mystery escapades of the infamous duo. Too silly to really be funny.

‘Vice’ Movie Review

One of the genres is “biography” yet I haven’t researched to find out if the main propaganda is true and if it is then this is a fascinating 2 hours plus film. There’s lots of humor and everything parallels current politics yet I don’t know “if” Cheney was actually running the White House. I expect award nominations for this film.

‘Aquaman’ Movie Review

This is probably the most visually stunning DC Comics movie to date. I saw it in IMAX and everything was stunning. The storyline is easy to follow yet not very engaging. Yes, there is 1 end credit scene about mid-way through.

‘Mary Poppins Returns’ Movie Review

No other way to describe this film than whimsical and eye-popping dazzling! Disney at it’s best for the Holiday Season. I actually have never seen the original film in it’s entirely…but it’s on my list. I truly loved this heartwarming family film. I saw it in Dolby and it was great.

‘Bumblebee’ Movie Review

Well, this franchise re-boot of sorts, starts in the 80’s with Bumble Bee being sent to Earth before the other Auto Bots arrive. Honestly, no other family but the Witwicky’s have been so endearing. This new family has potential yet it wasn’t the best introduction. The film is a bet cheesy but acceptable enough, especially if you’re a #Transformers fan. I viewed it in Super E-Max and it was great! The early screening did not show any end credit scenes.

I am a big fan of “good” historical films and this was wasn’t bad at all. I did some research on the true story and film doesn’t portray everything correctly yet it did educate me. Good acting that may get a few awards nominations.
