Judy movie

The acting is stellar and should grab Renee a few nominations. The storyline is not engaging enough yet it was somewhat interesting learning about the actress (although since Judy’s children are not supportive of the film it’s hard to know what is factual).

‘Abominable’ Movie Review

Abominable

The storyline is light and easy enough for all to follow. The yeti has some type of super power is in Asian casted animated film. The grandma, I believe is from an Oscar winning short. Good for a family outing.

‘The Wedding Year’ Movie Review

The Wedding Year

Definitely a “C” level small movie only with the two lead actors being familiar to me (really of one of them). Yet, I was pleasantly surprised with the chemistry they have and the quirky comedy throughout the movie. I wouldn’t pay full evening price for it yet an afternoon matinee with girlfriends would be cool.

‘Downton Abbey’ Movie Review

Finally the fans of the very popular television series (ended in 2015) get to see their favorite characters on the big screen. I never saw the series and I thought knowing the characters would have benefited my being able to follow the storyline. I love movies of the 1900’s era so it was a delightful vviewing especially in the Dolby format.

Ad Astra = to the stars; and that they did! I love sci-fi movies although this one is not defined as so. Picturesque yes, yet a big bore. The premise is for an astronaut to find out if his dad survived a space mission. I saw it in the IMAX format.

Based on true events that I don’t ever recall hearing of is this sisterhood of strippers in New York who decide to work smarter and not harder by devising a scam to steal from rich men who have used them up seductively and others financially. Better than I thought it would be. Fun cameos of Cardi B. and Lizzo.

‘It Chapter Two’ Movie Review

Is the 27 year wait to take out Pennywise worth it? Scary yet not as scary as the remake two years ago. Still funny. Once I remembered what they need to do to get rid of the clown, my nerves settled down. The studio is already thinking of a 3rd to this franchise even though the original doesn’t call for a 3rd. Definitely long! Surprise cameo…I won’t spoil it.
