“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” Movie Review

I saw the first installment of this new franchise in 2018 and totally enjoyed it and I would say the same about this one. The animation lush colors and cinematography is something to behold! This is a cliffhanger movie with part 2 coming in 2024. I have seen this twice, once in Dolby and secondly in IMAX.

‘The Little Mermaid’ movie review

Disney does it right with this live action remake! The expected lush colors and whimsical scenes are all there to dazzle your eyes. I actually don’t recall if I’ve ever completely seen the original animated movie. Halle does a great job of the reinvisioning of the character and Disney includes all cultures. There are a few dark scenes so the littles may close their eyes a couple times. I saw it in IMAX and it was great; I may see it again in 3D.

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” Movie Review

Well, I was definitely looking forward to an “original” Marvel Avengers movie and, I got it!!! I love this franchise. I’m sad that a couple of the original actors have said that they’re done with the franchise. The road to the ‘End Game’ was legendary and with this being the last G.O.T.G. film (original cast w/James Gunn) allegedly, it was sad yet so good to see their chemistry back on the back screen. Definitely worth checking out. I saw it in IMAX 3-D and yes, of course, there are two end credit scenes with the 2nd being the best (it’s the words after the scene!!!) Yay.

‘The Super Mario Bros Movie’ Movie Review

Of course I’m familiar with the nostalgic game yet never really played it. This movie is definitely family friendly yet was pretty boring.

‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’ Movie Review

So, I have never played the board game nor am I familiar with any of the characters etc.. I caught an early showing (2 weeks in advance) and was pleasantly pleased! This is a mixing bowl of genres and movies/series’ that I like. The storyline and characters reminded me of Xena, Hercules, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones and believe it or not, the Marvel Avengers, lol (you’ll notice that scene). Lots of humor and the nearly full auditorium, applauded afterwards. Popcorn movie that entertained me. I plan to see it again in either IMAX or Dolby. P.S. It was great to see Sophia Lillis from the “It” movies. There’s one end credit scene.

‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ Movie Review

So, this superhero franchise has struggled and only a few become fan favorites. I enjoyed the first Shazam and I enjoyed this one as well. Humor with a couple of #avenger jabs, lol, and a good look in Dolby. A trilogy is not expected since D.C comics has totally reorganized and rebooting actors. There’s a big surprise towards the end!!! There are 2 end credit scenes with the first one worth waiting for; the second I didn’t get at all and nothing will probably come it now.

’65’ Movie Review

So I truly enjoy sci-fi (or similar genres) yet this one struggled in every area. There isn’t a lot of dialogue because the other main character doesn’t speak English. Only the visuals kept me mediocre entertained; not worth paying to see.

‘Puss in Boots’ Movie Review

Okay, I’m a huge fan of the Shrek movies yet this spin-off I couldn’t connect with. I guess this one is best for the kiddies.

‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ Movie Review

Well, the long-awaited sequel is worth the 3 hrs. 12 minutes. Beautifully illustrated; lush colors; Disney at its best! New lands of characters that adds vast new cultures. Definitely worth checking out. I saw it tonight in Super E-Max; next time IMAX 3D. There is not an end credit scene just pandora scenery through some of the credits.

‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Movie Review

I had really high expectations for this sequel because the first film in this franchise was really good and the trailers for the follow-up to honor the late actor and character are emotional. There’s a scene that I don’t like that ended one character; a character that I think should return that didn’t happen; and something happened that I initially thought would be great did happen in the ONLY end credit scene (what happened to Marvel’s traditional 2 end credits?) I saw it in Super Emax and will see it again in 3D-IMAX. The screen is lush in colors the way Disney does it best. A bit too long and worth checking out.
