‘Black Adam’ Movie Review

So, I have now viewed this movie twice (actually seeing it the 2nd time). It is one of DC comics better films as they still struggle to mimic Marvel movies. Lots of high action scenes that are best seen in IMAX – 3d even better (if it’s offered). The storyline is okay yet with some good DC humor. Yes, there is an end credit scene that was the best part of this film to me.

‘DC League of Super Pets’ Movie Review

A really cute re-boot of sorts for secret pets. These pets belong to DC characters and have their own capers to solve. Fun for the family.

‘The Batman’ Movie Review

I had heard only blah-blah reviews, yet I was entertained even with there being a plethora of Batman movies. I thought Pattinson owned the character as did Zoe. Long movie yet again it was decent. I viewed it in IMAX and play to see it in Dolby. Now, the end credit scene is not worth staying for and proves why Marvel gets the comic book movies right and DC usually does not, smh, SPOILER: the screen will just say goodbye!

P.S. I went to see #TheBatman again tonight (Friday) in Dolby (great experience as well); I will now say that I enjoy Pattinson at the Batman (not so much as Bruce Wayne)! He does a great job and has good chemistry with Zoe (Cat Woman). The action scenes are good; the end credit scene is still sucky, IJS. I have upgraded my stars from 3.5 to 4 (probably should be 4.5 but I’m a Marvel fan 😉

‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Movie Review

The long awaited sequel is finally on the big screen (and streaming as well via HBO Max) due to many postponements of the pandemic. The opening scene is quite entertaining with a tournament of the Amazon women and Diana as a child. The slow and vague plot does somewhat explain why Steve Trevor is back and how new villains arise. Overall, not as enjoyable as the first film yet the action scenes are worth seeing in IMAX. There’s a GREAT end credit scene that comes pretty quickly.

‘Shazam’ Movie Review

I’m not knowledgeable of this DC character (or sidekicks) so I had no preconceived expectations. I was pleasantly surprised that is was funny and entertaining! I liked the mentions and no-face cameos of other DC characters but it would have been better had they shown faces (I realize Batman is up for a re-cast from Ben and a possible re-cast of Superman yet Aquaman seems solid and no cameo from Jason). I saw a very early screening, therefore, I didn’t see it in IMAX or Dolby. Worth checking out. NOTE: there are two end credit scenes to enjoy.
