‘Marshall’ Movie Review

Marshall banner

Based on a true story about Thurgood Marshall who would live to become one of History’s pioneers of civil rights and justice for people of color.  The accounts of the story are good and educational yet the overall storyline is not compelling with the acting and chemistry of the characters.  Still, definitely worth checking out.  FYI, there’s a cameo from Chili from TLC.

‘Professor Marston and the Wonder Women’ Movie Review

Professor Marston banner

Based on a true story, I was unaware that the movie would be so much about the sexuality of the creator of Wonder Woman. The character was created at a time in history that sexual freedom wasn’t accepted in comic books. Wonder woman’s character traits were what William Marston saw in his wife and girlfriend; their relationship was unusual to say the least mainly because everyone was in agreement with it.

‘The Mountain Between Us’ Movie Review

The Mountain Between Us banner

Who would have thought that ultimately this film is love story that begins in the worst of situations. The survival on the mountain(s) isn’t as intense as some films have shown yet the storyline was still good. Now, the chemistry between the two wasn’t as intense as I wanted it to be seeing that I’m a huge Idris Elba fan.

‘Flatliners’ Movie Review

Flatliners banner

This remake storyline starts kinda sci-fi then builds to a little horror/thriller after most of the cast decides to flatline. There are a few creepy scenes. The flatlining ultimately leads them to “forgiveness” before one of them realizes what’s happening.

‘A Question of Faith’ Movie Review

A question of faith banner

If you want to see a truly inspiring faith based movie, then this is the movie to see. Initially, I didn’t like the premise of the “faith” tested situations yet as the movie progressed it showed the essence of forgiveness. This is a wonderful family movie.

‘Til Death Do Us Part’ Movie Review

Til Death Do Us Part movie

We have the perfect couple with the almost perfect life. Everything seems fine until the wife finds out that her husband has a button she should not push. His temperament leads to more intense physical abuse. There’s a twist on how she escapes his abuse…but does she escape? Quite thrilling towards the end (I had my eyes closed). There are a couple things in the storyline that were introduced yet didn’t have closure. This movie is a about domestic abuse and there’ information on the screen at the end on how to get help.
