‘I Still Believe’ Movie Review

I still belive

Based on true story about Christian singer Jeremy Camp, he struggles with keeping his faith while watching the love of his life fight for her life. Definitely a tear jerker and a good family and faith based movie to see.

‘Jesus is King’ Movie Review

Jesus is King

Other than a “short film” which is usually animated, you will probably never see another film this short, that is 31 minutes long. This is the big screen view for the world to see a snippet of Kanye Wests’ Sunday service. Quite frankly it was anointed from beginning to end. Too bad I didn’t make it to performance in Detroit. The focus is Jesus’ Word through music and it remains there.

‘Overcomer’ Movie Review

overcomer

This is a faith based movie for the entire family to enjoy. A teenager struggles with the circumstances of life she’s been dealt yet her health challenge is tied to her passion for the sport that she’s great at.

‘Unplanned’ Movie Review

Unplanned

Based on a true story and a book; the lead character has a journey where things are rough for awhile then she settles into a career at a center for women.  She’s great at it yet over time the “business” gets to her conscious and she bails out with consequences to the company.  Pretty gory and may be very sensitive to women.   Somewhat of a faith based film.

‘God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness’ Movie Review

Gods Not Dead 2018

This is the third installment in this franchise and I’ve seen the latter two. This is a great faith based family film to see especially during this time of the year yet it’s a bit slow in storyline and character development.

‘I Can Only Imagine’ Movie Review

I Can Only Imagine banner

Based on the true story of Bart who became the lead singer for the band, Mercy Me. His dysfunctional and violent relationship with his father led him to write his feelings on what seemed to be a hopeless journey. Forgiveness and the lyrics to a beautiful song manifested, “I Can Only Imagine”. I’m unfamiliar with the original song yet it has been re-recorded and the version I know is sang by Tamela Mann and her rendition is POWERFUL to say the least. This is a great family faith based film.

‘The Star’ Movie Review

The Star banner

What a wonderful family movie for this Season! The story of Jesus’ birth is told in an animated version beautifully done. Laughs, great music and a good time for all in this all-star ensemble (voiced) cast.

‘Let There Be Light’ Movie Review

Let There be light banner

Two old-school familiar faces from the ‘Hercules’ television show are co-starring in this faith based film as ex-spouses who have differing choices about religion. Kevin and Sam Sorbo have been married since the ‘Hercules’ days and in this film life happens and a heart is changed towards God and His light.

‘Same Kind of Different as Me’ Movie Review

Same Kind of Different as me banner

Based on true accounts and a book we find a couple in a bad marriage that in most cases would lead to divorce. The wife leads the journey to save the marriage and her husband follows. Their relationship is faced with the acceptance of someone who initially seems very hard to love. I enjoyed the journey of all three lead characters.

‘A Question of Faith’ Movie Review

A question of faith banner

If you want to see a truly inspiring faith based movie, then this is the movie to see. Initially, I didn’t like the premise of the “faith” tested situations yet as the movie progressed it showed the essence of forgiveness. This is a wonderful family movie.
