‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Movie Review

I’m a huge Marvel fan and to see original Avengers back on the big screen is always a fun time. There’s lot of humor. A different type of Marvel movie but still fun. I saw it in Dolby and will see it again in IMAX 3-D. Yes, there are two end credit scenes!

‘Elvis’ Movie Review

Based on the legendary King of Rock N Roll this biography either educates you or gives you fond memories. The music is iconic and the actor portraying him gives a great rendition of the King’s music and dancing. The biography is long and unfortunately has this 3rd narrator by the King’s manager (whom I didn’t know really cheated him out of a lot of money). It was a corny narrative that was needed…just a movie with decent acting and reliving the music and dancing was all that was needed.

‘Marry Me’ Movie Review

A rom-com for the Valentine’s weekend. Jlo usually gets this type of role right and she did. The storyline is a lil sappy as some things aren’t realistic. Cute enough. There are “couple” outtakes at the end.

‘In the Heights’ Movie Review

Musicals are either a hit or miss for me, this one is a hit! I had heard great things about this movie/musical yet I was pleasantly surprised that I liked it. The music, singing, dancing and storyline kept me engaged. The IMAX experience was great!

‘The High Note’ Movie Review (streaming)

The High Note

Originally set to open in theatres you can find ‘The High Note’ streaming on various platforms. The premise is a seasoned vocalist who wants to reboot her career with new music yet her label isn’t on board for it. The back story is her assistant wanting to become a music producer. She finds a great singer yet there’s some drama. From what I’ve read, Tracee does her own vocals and it’s not bad. Overall I enjoyed all of the music.

I still belive

Based on true story about Christian singer Jeremy Camp, he struggles with keeping his faith while watching the love of his life fight for her life. Definitely a tear jerker and a good family and faith based movie to see.

‘Jesus is King’ Movie Review

Jesus is King

Other than a “short film” which is usually animated, you will probably never see another film this short, that is 31 minutes long. This is the big screen view for the world to see a snippet of Kanye Wests’ Sunday service. Quite frankly it was anointed from beginning to end. Too bad I didn’t make it to performance in Detroit. The focus is Jesus’ Word through music and it remains there.

‘Blinded by the Light’ Movie Review

This film reminds me of ‘Yesterday’ yet not engaging at all. The storyline is just okay as the main characters life journey meshes with his idols music. I’m not a Bruce Springsteen yet I’m familiar with some of his music.

‘Wild Rose’ Movie Review

What a surprise hit movie! It’s drama filled and heartwarming. A mom who made bad decisions as a youth put her on a path of a hard life and two babies to tow along with all the drama. Yes, she can sing yet which does she love more, her children or a county singer career? Some of the lines are hard to decipher as the heavy English accent is present.
