‘Geostorm’ Movie Review

Geostorm banner

The mother of all outer space storms starts attacking Earth and the weather changes drastically all over the world with very little time for humans to take cover or basically just survive. The storyline is as much a whirlwind as the storms making the film more about the sights than the content.  I saw it in IMAX 3D and visually it was stunning.

‘Bladerunner 2049’ Movie Review

Blade Runner 2049 banner

I didn’t see the original film. I found this movie 45 minutes too long (2 Hrs. 43 mins). I love sci-fi movies yet I just couldn’t get into this movie. There are action scenes that are decent and some scenes are very loud. I saw it in IMAX without 3D.

‘Flatliners’ Movie Review

Flatliners banner

This remake storyline starts kinda sci-fi then builds to a little horror/thriller after most of the cast decides to flatline. There are a few creepy scenes. The flatlining ultimately leads them to “forgiveness” before one of them realizes what’s happening.

‘Inhumans’ Television Show review

Inhumans banner

I saw the two-part television series on IMAX. I’m a big Marvel fan yet I’ve gotten to know the characters in depth through the movies, therefore, I wasn’t familiar with the characters at all. There were portions that sealed this as a television program yet it held my attention as I got to learn about these new superheroes. I definitely want to see more as this big screen peek ended with me wanting to see the conclusion. The series premiers on Friday, Sept. 29th (yet I saw an air date of 10/6 on the internet).

P.S. I kept looking at one of the characters like I know he’s familiar to me, lol, the infamous #RamsayBolton from #GOT lights up the screen with a similar character personality (Iwan Rheon as Maximus). This series is also depicted from one of my favorite states, Hawaii (Oahu).

‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ Movie Review

Valerian movie

The storyline did not engage me at all. The lush colors and sci-fi creatures kept my eyes intrigued. The plot is weak and probably because there wasn’t a well known celebrity in a lead position, I was not entertained. I saw it in 3D and it’s probably not worth paying for.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Movie Review

I’m a true fan of Marvel movies and am glad that Spider Man is officially linked to the Avengers on the big screen. This won’t go down as a favorite Marvel movie of mine yet I liked it. Lots of humor and great action at the end. I saw it in Dolby and it was great. Yes, there are two end credit scenes and the last one is quite funny.

‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ Movie Review

Transformers 5 banner.jpg

This is another franchise that I’m a BIG fan of so for the most part the director can do no wrong.  What I enjoyed most is that the franchise brought back familiar faces (and a last name) from the first three films (not Tyrese though, which I missed and the newcomer love interest for Mark Wahlberg is a dead ringer for Megan Fox). Lots of action and humor.  I saw it in Dolby and it was great!  My next viewing will be in IMAX 3D. And YES, there is an end credit scene not long after the movie ends (nothing when the screen goes black).
