‘Black Adam’ Movie Review

So, I have now viewed this movie twice (actually seeing it the 2nd time). It is one of DC comics better films as they still struggle to mimic Marvel movies. Lots of high action scenes that are best seen in IMAX – 3d even better (if it’s offered). The storyline is okay yet with some good DC humor. Yes, there is an end credit scene that was the best part of this film to me.

‘One Night in Miami’ Amazon Prime Movie Review

Four icons spending an epic night in Miami talking about their struggles and successes. This is a fictional account but just to think if this had happened. Get a little long mid-way yet the final scene is worth the wait and quite emotional.

‘The Invisible Man’ Movie Review

A total reinvention of the old classic franchise. A broken woman finds herself running for her life from the one who claims to love her. He sets a plan for her to go crazy because he’s supposed to have died but she knows he’s still alive and invisible. More of a thriller and somewhat predictable yet worth the time to check out. Elizabeth Moss carries the storyline quite well.

‘Brian Banks’ Movie Review

Based on a true story of a teenage young man that was sure to land a NFL contract yet was falsely accused of a crime and spent years in prison. After his release he went on a journey to clear his name. Great acting.

‘What Men Want’ Movie Review

I laughed out loud several times during this film especially during the Erykah Badu scenes…she was hilarious. The film is funny for a passing rating from me. I liked the gender flip of the script of hearing the thoughts of men.

‘Hidden Figures’ Movie Review

This true story is well adapted to the big screen. The premise focuses on three VERY smart black women who were employed by NASA in the 1960’s. All three women made their imprint with their intelligence. Everything about this movie is inspiring! A must see on a part of history that only few knew.

‘Jack Reacher: Never Go Back’ Movie Review

Reacher is back after a four year hiatus. Although, coming in #2 at the box office, it’s a really good movie. Lots of action and a storyline that can be followed. A couple of new characters join Reacher and both are a good add. I saw it in IMAX and it was great. It was good seeing Aldis Hodge back on the big screen after being in the blockbuster ‘Straight Outta Compton’.
