‘Scoob’ Movie Review

scoob

Due to the pandemic, this nostalgic animated re-boot has been released directly to streaming platforms. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a Scooby movie or episode so some of the characters (villains) I had forgotten about. I did like how it was explained how Shaggy and Scooby first met. It’s decent for a nostalgic animated revisit that the family can enjoy together.

‘The Art of Racing in the Rain’ Movie Review

Art of racing.jpg

Based on the popular book, is this heartwarming movie that the main character is the dog! A well-acted movie by all of the cast yet the narration of the family dog will have you crying. A really good movie to check out especially with the family.

‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’ Movie Review

mamma

Okay, lots of the music is a duplicate from the first film eight years ago.  I found the storyline to be slow and not interesting and fun like the first film. Although, one of the original characters has now passed away, she’s still in the movie. Also, Cher’s appearance so to speak saves the movie.

‘Gringo’ Movie Review

This hilariously silly comedy has an all-star ensemble cast. There’s a mystery but is there really a mystery or a scheme? Enjoy the journey.

‘The Last Word’ Movie Review

The last word banner.png

We have a ridged hearted woman controlling everything around her as she attempts to control her transition. There’s lots of humor in this movie that ends up being quite heartwarming.

‘Love the Coopers’ Movie Review

Love the Coopers banner

We all love seeing a good Christmas movie this time of year to make us laugh, feel nostalgic and get us in the mood for Christmas. Well this movie aims to do that but it’s not a good delivery. With such a great ensemble cast you’d expect non-stop laughs amongst the chaos and dysfunction of this family. There’s humor and lots of family issues yet it just wasn’t a good movie. Catch it at matinee price (not worth full price). I didn’t care for the narration (the narrator will be revealed at the end, lol) which reminded me of ‘A Christmas Story’ (still a true classic). ‘Love the Coopers’ will not be Holiday classic, in my opinion.

‘Pan’ Movie Review

Quite whimsical and enjoyable. This version of Peter Pan will definitely appeal to the younger at heart. I found learning of Peter Pan from a younger boy gave a different twist to this familiar story. Very colorful and fun to see in Read D 3D.

‘Ted 2’ Movie Review

Ted 2 banner

The raunchy teddy bear, Ted is back on the big screen. I found the movie to be funny when it was funny yet there aren’t as many funny moments/scenes in the sequel. That doesn’t mean is not as funny as the original yet just fewer laughable scenes. A little too much time spent on equality for this teddy bear. If there’s a third film, they should keep to the jokes. Ted still has a bad mouth, lol. I laughed out loud a lot and it was funny to see the charater, Donny again in this film.

‘A Million Ways to Die in the West’ Movie Review

A million ways

If you want to see a gross/rude comedy movie, then this is the film for you. There are a few laugh out loud scenes and pretty good consistent comedy scenes. I did find the movie to be a bit long (almost 2 hours) with a few scenes that tried hard to drag a joke out. Overall, it’s about laughs and not taking the “humor” seriously. Good ensemble cast with a few surprise cameos. There’s an END CREDIT SCENE after the screen goes to black.

‘The Big Wedding’ Movie Review

There’s a plethora of talent in this movie that can’t seem to keep this movie afloat. There are laughable moments and some quite raunchy yet the storyline just doesn’t blend the characters together well. The good thing is that the movie is only 90 mins. long, therefore, you won’t feel as if you wasted a lot your time. This movie may appeal more to a seasoned aged demographic. 2 1/2 stars out of 5. In theatres 4/26.
