Hotel Mumbai

Absolutely riveting the entire time. Based on true events when this terrorist attack happened in 2008 in Mumbai at the Taj Hotel. The City was helpless because they didn’t have an enforcement team to take down such an attack. The attack lasted days and the nearest City, New Delhi, didn’t arrive for several hours. Very intense and sad.

‘Sorry to Bother You’ Movie Review

This racy satire film starts off engaging and loses it’s point and drive to make a point by the end of the film. I was surprised to see Omari Hardwick as I didn’t remember seeing him in early trailers.

‘Cars 3’ Movie Review

The first movie in this franchise is a classic and I think this one redeems the franchise. It’s funny enough with heartwarming scenes amongst the original characters and new ones. I saw it in IMAX (without 3D) and it was great.

‘Free Fire’ Movie Review

Free Fire movie

This is an old-school shoot-em-up bang-bang movie, LOL. Lots of bullets and swearing. The shoot out becomes so ridiculously funny that it’s hard to believe anyone will survive. It’s a quick movie most of it is this funny yet gory shooting scene.

‘Nocturnal Animals’ Movie Review

I had high hopes for this much anticipated thriller and for the most part it lived up to the hype. The screenplay of the book was “the movie” in my opinion as it was suspenseful and intense. What’s unclear to me is a final scene…I don’t know who pulled the trigger. Some of the movie (the book) is very hard to watch. Overall, it’s a pretty good movie and it held my attention the entire time.

‘The Birth of a Nation’ Movie Review

Based on true events in the life of Nat Turner, who led a slave rebellion in 1831. This film in my opinion showed different yet horrific situations that slaves endured. Although there are very gory and hard scenes to watch it is still a good depiction of the heroic efforts Nat Turner and others fought for. Gabrielle Union has a small yet powerful role; she never says a word yet makes a mark.

‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E.’ Movie Review

I didn’t know what to expect with “Superman” and “The Lone Ranger” in the lead roles but I could only think that good things would result. If you enjoy humorous drama filled mystery movies, then you’ll enjoy this one. Casted well and it will keep your attention.

‘The Lone Ranger’ Movie Review

The Long Ranger should be getting all the spotlight yet Tonto and Silver made the spotlight shine three ways. I think most people will find this movie to be quite nostalgic if you have ever watched any of the original television episodes (whether you remember most of them or not). There’s plenty of action and comedy (Johnny Depp does his thing as Tonto) and a storyline to follow. There are a few scenes that will make you cringe yet overall it’s a great Summer time popcorn movie. I have heard there is a really short end credit scene (I missed it)…so stick around after the movie ends.
