‘Dora and the Lost City of Gold’ Movie Review

Dora

Based of course on the popular animated series (which I’ve never seen…I think, lol) is the mostly live action movie. There are a few shifts to animated and characters that are not real throughout the movie yet it’s not distracting and I believe meant to be nostalgia to the true characters. This family friendly movie will please fans and those of us new to the characters.

‘Sicario: Day of the Soldado’ Movie Review

si2

This sequel is better than the original film in my opinion.  The story line is more engaging yet it’s still quite gory.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Movie Review

Avengers Infinity War pic

I’m a diehard #Marvel fan and this 3rd installment of an Avengers movie did not disappoint. It was great seeing so many of the Marvel characters in one movie…NOT all of them are in the movie though.  Rumor is that the X-Men haven’t been written into the Avengers yet, because help is needed.  The movie is great and I have already seen it twice in IMAX 3-D and Dolby.  I enjoyed both formats.  Shout out to a fave #GOT character, Tyrion/Peter Dinklage with his cameo scene.  Yes, I plan to see it again and probably in a different format, Super E-Max.  There’s only ONE end credit scene.

‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Movie Review

Star Wars banner 2

Entertaining, engaging, exciting, and eye-popping colors and characters!  I really enjoyed this 2nd installment to the trilogy.  Great storyline and everything that a Star Wars fan wants to see.  There’s a great acknowledgement to “Princess Leia” in the end credits.  I  stayed to the screen turned black but no end credit scene.  I saw it in Dolby and it was GREAT!  I will see it at least twice more because I want to experience it in other formats, so IMAX 3D and Super E-Max screen viewings are coming soon. I’ll update this review to share my feelings on those formats.  A fave of mine from #GameOfThrones makes her mark in this one, #GwendolineChristie b.k.a. Brienne of Tarth.

‘Sicario’ Movie Review

Sicario banner

Very intense; gory scenes that will make you cringe; several scenes without words. This movie had the potential to be really good yet I thought the storyline was weak with all the good action scenes. The infrared scene was different and added a good element to a scene. Benicio Del Toro usually always portrays creepy roles and he does in this one as well. Josh Brolin is co-starring and can also be seen in ‘Everest’ now showing in theatres.

‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Movie Review

Guardian of the Galaxy banner

NOTE: As with all Marvel films, there is an end credit scene so stay until the screen turns black (I didn’t see it at the advance screening because the studio didn’t want it shown then).
If you’re a Marvel fan as I am, then you’ll love it! Great 3D and fast paced sci-fi scenes. Being a movie Marvel fan, I wasn’t familiar with these characters. The storyline gives an introduction to the characters yet it could have been more in depth; this is a comic book movie so I don’t anything should be too deep. Overall, this is a fun Summertime popcorn movie.
