‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ Movie Review

What a wonderful nostalgic reboot of this franchise! The storyline is engaging from the beginning (of course we know it’s about catching ghosts) from an ensemble of actors that are well cast. I didn’t think the last re-boot of all females was bad at all yet I enjoyed this one totally especially with the return of the original characters! There are 2 end-credit scenes so stay until all credits have shown. The IMAX experience is great.

‘Spenser Confidential’ Netflix Movie Review

Spenser

This wanna be dynamic duo doesn’t earn the title. The chemistry is choppy and the comedic scenes are mostly corny. There’s some action that gets you through the movie.

‘Queen & Slim’ Movie Review

Queen Slim

Sooooo, this film is beautifully shot, has cast chemistry and good acting. The common sense of how two law abiding citizens go on a first date and their lives forever changed, had me perplexed. This is a definite thought provoking movie and it shows what should not be done for a situation to escalate for one to need to defend them self from the police. I didn’t like the ending yet it was that or the alternative for a cop killer. Her name, Queen, was vaguely explained and I don’t recall how he was nicknamed Slim. Bokeem Woodbine has a stellar performance and I hope he gets nominated for awards.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Movie Review

I’m a true fan of Marvel movies and am glad that Spider Man is officially linked to the Avengers on the big screen. This won’t go down as a favorite Marvel movie of mine yet I liked it. Lots of humor and great action at the end. I saw it in Dolby and it was great. Yes, there are two end credit scenes and the last one is quite funny.

‘Riddick’ Movie Review

Well Sci-Fi fans we finally have a film that’s a must see! ‘Riddick’ delivers big time. Vin brings back everything we love about this character. It’s a solid storyline that keeps you engaged with the action scenes and scenery; some gory and intense scenes. This movie does tie in the previous two movies ‘Pitch Black’ from 2000 (which I haven’t seen) and ‘Chronicles of Riddick’ from 2004. I saw the movie in IMAX and it was FABULOUS! So I highly recommend the upgrade if you can. I was surprised to see Keri Hilson (singer) in the movie…good look for her.
