‘Motherless Brooklyn’ Movie Review

Motherless brooklyn

I just could not connect to the storyline although I enjoy movies from this time period.

‘Glass’ Movie Review

Well, I have yet to rent and watch ‘Unbreakable’ yet I did see ‘Split’ (unknowingly that it was connected to ‘Unbreakable’). I didn’t think the movie was scary at all (genre doesn’t say so yet ‘Split’ was scary to me). For the most part it was okay with McAvoy giving a great performance with those personality changes. I probably need to watch ‘Unbreakable’ to see how they all tie in. Definitely more sci-fi than anything this time. No end credit scene, therefore, it’s hard to say if a new trilogy will be birthed. The Dolby experience was great!

‘Death Wish’ Movie Review

death wish banner

Loosely based on the original 1970’s film, we have a pretty normal man that turns into the grim reaper due to a violent act on his family. The movie is gory with lots of action fight scenes. It was okay yet worth checking out.  It was different seeing Bruce in an action film that he wasn’t “meant” to be a deliberate bad guy.

‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’ Movie Review

Sin City Dame

Gory, dark, cheesy, some humor and sexually explicit scenes in this beautifully done cinematography comic strip (sort of) movie. The storylines from a well known ensemble cast hold your attention with the picturesque scenes.

‘Red 2’ Movie Review

I found this film to be just as exciting as the original. So much fun going on, on the screen with all the humor we’d expect. This fabulous ensemble cast (less one from the original) join up again to take us on a ride. Helen Mirren’s character, Victoria is my fave and she doesn’t disappoint this go round either. Byung-hun Lee is a great add with all his martial arts skills. Entertaining and a must-see Summer time popcorn movie. Also, this is one of two new movies that Mary-Louise Parker is co-starring in this weekend (the other is R.I.P.D.).
