I was expecting all laughs yet there was quite a bit of storyline that was sentimental and reflected the true feelings of characters. Back to the comedy, it’s funny when it’s meant to be funny. I’m becoming a big fan of Rebel’s work. It’s a good girls night out movie.

Well here’s an animated movie that in my opinion is demographically targeted towards “boys/men” 🙂 Don’t get me wrong, there’s humor and the special effects are beautiful! The overall storyline is very geared towards to males yet will keep a general interest in females. I’m glad I saw it yet it wasn’t what I expected (not knowing anything about Big Hero 6 before this movie). Disney doesn’t disappoint yet there’s a target audience of the male persuasion. I did see it in 3D yet I can’t recommend paying the extra…I really don’t remember anything spectacular in 3D. BTW, I totally enjoyed ‘Wreck it Ralph’ which may have been targeted towards males yet was received by females alike.

I didn’t expect much, therefore, it was better than expected. Damon Wayans Jr. comedy certainly reminds me of his dad roles (and it’s not a bad thing). Jake Johnson’s character, Ryan is quite annoying in my opinion and I started cringing each time he was in a scene. There are jokes and some gross humor yet overall it’s a mediocre comedy. Shout-out to native Southfield, MI resident, Keegan-Michael Key.
