‘The Little Mermaid’ movie review

Disney does it right with this live action remake! The expected lush colors and whimsical scenes are all there to dazzle your eyes. I actually don’t recall if I’ve ever completely seen the original animated movie. Halle does a great job of the reinvisioning of the character and Disney includes all cultures. There are a few dark scenes so the littles may close their eyes a couple times. I saw it in IMAX and it was great; I may see it again in 3D.

‘Soul’ Movie Review

Disney always has stellar cinematography with lush colors and dynamic graphics; the storyline takes a back seat to the preceding. Heartwarming yet lacking the “soul” connection. Still worth checking out with the family during the Holidays on Disney+.

‘Blindspotting’ Movie Review

blind spotting

This movie is the vision of two friends who are the lead male actors. This dramedy has a message about relevant issues in America today. I was happy that the movie didn’t end the way I thought it would.

‘Wonder’ Movie Review

Wonder movie banner

What a “wonder”ful movie that is full of heart! Based on the best selling book (and there’s a real Auggie as well) the struggle for a little boy with a facial difference to blend in at school and life in general is explored. There’s a scene in the movie where Auggie asks why everyone thinks he’s ugly? A girl in the theatre burst into tears. This is a good movie done well.
