‘Midway’ Movie Review

Based on the true story of another attack from the Japanese towards Americans after Pearl Harbor. Midway is an Island near Hawaii that was the next step in the Japanese to invade the Mainland. Heroism from U.S. forces ended their plans. I was totally engaged and enjoyed the history lesson. I viewed the movie in Dolby.

‘A Dog’s Journey’ Movie Review

Bailey continues in her journey’s and now he’s Max.  Very heart warming and even more so for dog owners.  A great family film to check out.

‘The Intruder’ Movie Review

Although this thriller is predictable the journey is worth watching. This is definitely a talk to the screen movie!

‘Kin’ Movie Review

I’m a fan of sci-fi and this one is a win-win. Other than the main younger character being so naive the storyline held my interest. There are a few cameo performances of A-list celebrities and Michael B. Jordan is one.

‘I Can Only Imagine’ Movie Review

Based on the true story of Bart who became the lead singer for the band, Mercy Me. His dysfunctional and violent relationship with his father led him to write his feelings on what seemed to be a hopeless journey. Forgiveness and the lyrics to a beautiful song manifested, “I Can Only Imagine”. I’m unfamiliar with the original song yet it has been re-recorded and the version I know is sang by Tamela Mann and her rendition is POWERFUL to say the least. This is a great family faith based film.

I’ve heard both sides regarding the negative hype about this film then I decided to see this movie. Overall, this is a feel-good family movie and if you’re a pet lover (especially dogs), then you will LOVE this movie.

‘Truth’ Movie Review

This movie is depicted from the book and true story of Dan Rather and Mary Mapes investigation of former President George W. Bush military service. Their findings and Dan’s reports of this topic led to the end of his and Marys’ career (yet she is known as one of the best journalists in the 2000’s for another award winning story she published). The cover up and back lash into former President Bush’s military deployment led to several people being forced to resign, Mary being fired (ultimately taking most of the blame) and CBS being embarrassed. A little slow yet interesting. I wouldn’t be surprised if Cate Blanchett gets an Oscar nomination. Robert Redford does a good job as Dan Rather yet he looked like a “very” aged Dan Rather.
