‘The Little Things’ Movie Review

Two cops use their strategies to track down a possible serial killer. As one needs justification from the past…the other needs new redemption. Denzel Washington’s daughter, Olivia, has a cameo role. I viewed it in EMAX (the only format showing at the theatre I went to).

‘The Equalizer 2’ Movie Review

This sequel is a winner-winner in my opinion. I really enjoyed the first film and thoroughly enjoyed this one. There’s one storyline that ends incomplete and another that’s off the path of the main storyline yet the action scenes make up for anything else lacking.

‘Roman J. Israel, Esq.’ Movie Review

Roman J Israel Isq banner

This character is one that I can’t remember seeing Denzel acting in before. He’s a passionate lawyer with an eccentric lifestyle. He’s elevated to a corporate lawyer position but it comes at a cost.

‘Fences’ Movie Review

What a well written script from the broadway show! The acting is superior and I expect many movie award nominations. The dialogue is crisp and you don’t get a chance to drift off because every word counts. What a storyline!

‘The Magnificent Seven’ Movie Review

the-magnificent-seven-banner

This is my kind of a movie! What a great Western. I never saw the original but I will say I can’t imagine this film being rated horrible compared to the original. The build up of each character is good which causes you to like these bad guys with good intentions. I was on the edge of my seat and clapping during the epic wild west battle at the end. I saw it in IMAX.

‘The Equalizer’ Movie Review

Equalizer banner

This big screen film is an adaptation of the 80’s television show of the same name. I never saw the television show yet the movie is a winner for me. Typical Denzel type of movie yet I liked the build up of the storyline before all the action began. The storyline never explained how he learned his skills nor his personal back story yet I still enjoyed the movie. I’m thinking there will be more Equalizer films.

‘2 Guns’ Movie Review

2-Guns-2013-Movie-Title-Banner

I was really wondering how Denzel and Mark would gel together for such a movie like this. Well, their chemistry is right on point! This action/comedy/crime caper has a storyline to follow with lots of twists and good comedy between the leading men. Paula Patton (Deb) has a small role yet links with Denzel’s character (Bobby); heads up alert on the nudity (I was surprised Paula took a role that called for her to be nude). Denzel and Mark’s (Stig) characters are the good guys but they don’t find out until after awhile. A good movie worth checking out….get your popcorn at the concession stand.
