‘Let Him Go’ Movie Review

Their son dies mysteriously and leaves a grieving widow and young son. His widow marries a man with no respect for her and his family is even worse. Her late husband parents chase her down to do the right thing for herself and her son. Unconditional love has it’s limits. Somewhat predictable and I had hoped that the ending wasn’t going to be what it was.

‘Serenity’ Movie Review

serenity

I actually thought this movie was sci-fi because of the different point of views the main characters could take on. A-listers line of the cast yet the storyline fails to connect everything and everyone in my opinion. How the movie ends doesn’t make sense with the mature scenes.

‘Justice League’ Movie Review

Justice League Poster 3

I think this franchise is finally getting it together especially since the blockbuster ‘Wonder Woman’ was released this year. There’s lots of action scenes including the usual faves…Batman, SPOILER: Superman, and Wonder Woman and the new additions to the franchise. Humor and a decent storyline make this movie a success. I saw it in IMAX and it was great; I plan to see it again in 3D. There are TWO end of credit scenes so don’t leave until the screen turns black (just like the other superhero franchise, lol).

‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Movie Review

Batman superman banner

Well, everyone was wondering why Batman and Superman were fighting and we now know. Of course, Lex Luthor is all up in the midst. For awhile, I thought the franchise had a total reboot with the add of Ben Affleck as Batman yet Superman’s human parents remain the same. I liked Ben better as Bruce Wayne than actually being Batman. This new batsuit was a bit spacey looking to me with the sorta moon boots and tin man type suit. I’m still liking Christian Bale as the best Batman especially because of that sweet motorcycle. Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman is a good add. I enjoyed seeing Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in the fight scene (which was probably my favorite scene). Henry is a great Superman and I enjoyed seeing him again in this role. Ben and Henry have nice “eye candy” shirt off scenes for the ladies 🙂 No end credit scene. I saw it in 3D and it was good…I will see it in IMAX soon. Nice scenes of Metro Detroit where a good portion of the movie was shot where Ben and Henry were seen a lot out in public. P.S. nice sneak peak of other D.C. Comic characters.

‘Trumbo’ Movie Review

trumbo banner

This movie is based on a true story and book of the same name. Essentially, one of the best screenwriters in history (and other artists) was jailed for their political views. Mr. Trumbo was an interesting person to say the least; after being black balled in Hollywood he had to write scripts using shadow writer names. I did like this movie and I won’t be surprised hearing about a few Oscar nominations from this stellar ensemble cast.

‘Inside Out’ Movie Review

Inside out banner original

What a clever storyline for an animated film. I enjoyed the depiction of emotions in all of the characters (more shown in end credit scene). Fun for all ages. I saw it in RealD 3D…good but not necessary; the screen is always pretty in Disney Pixar movies.
