‘Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway’ Movie Review

The capers of Peter continue as his human parents get married yet he still can’t keep out of trouble. Fun and funny for a family outing.

‘Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker’ Movie Review

Star Wars 3

Well the third movie to the trilogy in this franchise has come to an end. I will say that I should have watched the last movie again to remember some details but I finally picked up. Overall it’s a decent film with characters that have been popular fan faves for decades now. Nostalgic, drama and battles define this film. I viewed the movie in IMAX 3D.

‘The Kitchen’ Movie Review

Kitchen movie

The premise of the movie reminded me of one from last year. The era is the 70’s and three mobsters go to jail and their wives are left to fend for themselves unless they toughen up and take over their territories. Engaging enough yet there’s a twist towards the end that was unexpected and kinda changed the premise of the storyline. It was good to see Tiffiany Haddish in a serious role. Definitely set up for a sequel.

‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Movie Review

Star Wars banner 2

Entertaining, engaging, exciting, and eye-popping colors and characters!  I really enjoyed this 2nd installment to the trilogy.  Great storyline and everything that a Star Wars fan wants to see.  There’s a great acknowledgement to “Princess Leia” in the end credits.  I  stayed to the screen turned black but no end credit scene.  I saw it in Dolby and it was GREAT!  I will see it at least twice more because I want to experience it in other formats, so IMAX 3D and Super E-Max screen viewings are coming soon. I’ll update this review to share my feelings on those formats.  A fave of mine from #GameOfThrones makes her mark in this one, #GwendolineChristie b.k.a. Brienne of Tarth.

‘Goodbye, Christopher Robin’ Movie Review

Goodbye Christopher Robin movie

Based on the true story of Christopher Robin who is the little boy of whom “Winnie the Pooh” was created. He had a loveless childhood from his parents yet a strong loving relationship with his nanny. The imagination of Christopher and his mother started the whole concept of Pooh and all the other characters. His father penned the characters into storybooks which became famously known yet Christopher never wanted the fame and became unpopular in school which led him to never take a penny of profit from the characters so many people love today.  The young Christopher did a great job depicting this true story.

‘The Revenant’ Movie Review

The Revenant banner

To say the least this movie is riveting and lives up to the title! Long only because there a lot of scenes without words (Leonardo). The cinematography is absolutely gorgeous. There are scenes that are hard to watch yet I made it through them (due to so much hype about the gory scenes I became desensitized). I do expect Leonardo to have a long awards Season with lots of wins! This movie is based on a true story. I did find it hard sometimes to understand what Tom Hardy’s character was saying (I think he picks these kinds of roles for some reason, lol).

‘Brooklyn’ Movie Review

Brooklyn banner

Here’s a sure fire chick-flick depicted from the 1950’s. This is a truly romantic movie that you think you know how it’s going to end but a twist happens and makes you wonder, what exactly is going to happen? I really enjoyed the lead character Eilis love of love but I almost thought I would end up not liking the character as the movie drew to an end.

‘Unbroken’ Movie Review

Unbroken

What an absolutely great film that was snubbed for major category Oscar nominations. Angelina Jolie does a great job directing this true story that will engage your mind the entire time. Great acting and screenplay. This movie will inspire anyone with doubts in their life.
