‘The Invisible Man’ Movie Review

The invisible man

A total reinvention of the old classic franchise. A broken woman finds herself running for her life from the one who claims to love her. He sets a plan for her to go crazy because he’s supposed to have died but she knows he’s still alive and invisible. More of a thriller and somewhat predictable yet worth the time to check out. Elizabeth Moss carries the storyline quite well.

‘The Kitchen’ Movie Review

Kitchen movie

The premise of the movie reminded me of one from last year. The era is the 70’s and three mobsters go to jail and their wives are left to fend for themselves unless they toughen up and take over their territories. Engaging enough yet there’s a twist towards the end that was unexpected and kinda changed the premise of the storyline. It was good to see Tiffiany Haddish in a serious role. Definitely set up for a sequel.

‘Us’ Movie Review

us

Doppelgangers (human clones) are trying to take over the yet it’s a fight to the end.  The first hour has spooky scenes yet most scenes made me laugh (and that’s good).  The last 30 minutes tries to tie everything in on how the doppelgangers came to be yet it loses it’s steam and the ending isn’t so goo even for a semi sci-fi movie.  There’s a twist at the end for a hint of a sequel but it isn’t a good twist.  There’s no end credit scene.  NOTE: There is a fruit loop cereal eating moment that I just so happened to notice…for the #GetOut fans. I viewed it in IMAX and it was great.
