‘Birds of Prey’ Movie Review

I found this to be a decent comic book movie with lots of girl power. I didn’t love it nor do I hate it. Stay until the screen turns black. I saw the movie in the Dolby format and that made the experience better.

‘Doctor Sleep’ Movie Review

I’m truly NOT a horror/scary movie fan and I don’t recall ever watching The Shining, yet I decided to watch this movie. Well, because of a good storyline and I’m told references to The Shining, this movie is pretty good and worth checking out. Yes, I jumped several times. I saw it in Dolby.

‘Disney: Christopher Robin’ Movie Review

I was so disappointed in this character live action movie. I was busy on my phone most of the movie. Last year’s ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’ was soooooo much better than this movie. Not worth checking out in my opinion.

‘Beauty and the Beast’ Movie Review

The classic animated story has been re-boot into a live action film and it’s definitely worth checking out! The storyline is basically the same with a few mild changes (nothing that I found overkill). The screen is a visual collage of colors as I expect from Disney films. Fun for all to see. There’s singing and they have as many songs as they should have. I saw it in IMAX and it was beautiful!

‘Our Kind of Traitor’ Movie Review

I totally enjoy this genre of movie and this one wasn’t bad at all. You find a couple caught between the Russian Mafia and the British Secret Service. Lots of violence throughout the film.

‘Miles Ahead’ Movie Review

Here’s another legendary music icon on the big screen and other than knowing of the music, I wasn’t aware of Miles’ personal life. This biography shows the dark side of his life…lots of drugs and drama in his life. Overall, I thought Don’s portrayal was good with his voice imitation and the instruments.

‘Jane Got a Gun’ Movie Review

I didn’t have any expectations and I ended up pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this “real” western movie. I thought the film deserved more advertising. There are a few twists to the storyline so be prepared. Now showing in AMC theatres.

‘August: Osage County’ Movie Review (Oscar/Actor Cat.)

Here’s a small town family with lots of dysfunctional issues! Good acting yet the movie isn’t spectacular. Slow in some parts and was a little boring until the next family issue came up. Still in select theatres or on vod via your cable provider. We’ll see this evening if Meryl wins again, lol.
