‘El Chicano’ Movie Review

Definitely cheesy and quite gory yet it held my attention. Twin brothers end up on opposite sides of the law and the Mexican folktale El Chicano is resurrected to combat their urban crime that cartels start. Not bad; a definite setup for a sequel.

‘Meet the Blacks’ Movie Review

Now if you don’t want to see an “ignorant” comedy, then skip this one. I knew this film would seek to get laughs with no regrets. Overall, it’s quite funny simply said (especially if you’re a fan of ‘The Purge’ movies).

‘Rio 2’ Movie Review

I consider this movie an animated musical, lol, lots of singing and dancing that could bore an adult yet I’m sure children will totally enjoy all the entertainment on screen. There’s some humor for adults and the screen is lush in color with lots of blue (like smurfy blue). The 3D effects are pretty good.

‘The Smurfs 2’ Movie Review

The little blue people are back! Nostalgic to anyone that watched the cartoon years ago on television. The Smurfs are a fave of mine and smurfed up to my expectation in this sequel. The Smurfs and the human characters had good chemistry as before. Azarel, Gargamel’s cat is a leading character in this movie…he’s funny and steals scenes. I enjoyed the addition of the two new characters Vexy and Hackus. Worth checking out this Summer with the little ones or the young at heart. I saw it in 3D and thought it was smurfy, lol (good).
