‘Reminiscence’ Movie Review

Maybe a little deja vu??? I usually don’t like movies like this but this one okay. Not a film to rush and see.

‘Missing Link’ Movie Review

Missing link

This claymation bear sets off to find his relatives with two other adventurers. Kinda reminded me of Sherlock and Holmes. Decent but it didn’t hold my attention. I saw it in 3D and it’s not worth paying for.

‘The Front Runner’ Movie Review

This was definitely a time when an affair would stunt a campaign,  Gary Hart’s presidential campaign ended in1998 because of an affair.

‘The Greatest Showman’ Movie Review

Greatest Showman banner

I didn’t have any expectations of liking this musical yet I went to see it. I was pleasantly surprised to have liked the music and the storyline essentially about people that society would label as weird. Inspired by the imagination of P.T. Barnum.

‘Logan’ Movie Review

Logan banner.png

This has been advertised as the last “Wolverine” movie(Hugh says it’s his last) and it ends with a bang. I’m a big Marvel fan and this franchise is always interesting. The storyline is different than most X-Men movies yet it is very good (in my opinion). With a “R” rating expect lots of gory scenes. We have new girl-power in Laura and she definitely kick butt and I expect that sequels will come including her. I saw it in IMAX and it was great.  There wasn’t an end credit scene yet you never know if one pops up today since today is the official opening day.

‘Eddie the Eagle’ Movie Review

Eddie Eagle banner

This film is loosely based on a true story about Eddie, who was a sure underdog in being able to compete in the 1988 Olympics. He trained hard in ski jumping and much to everyone’s surprise he accomplished his goal! This is a heart warming and inspirational film.

‘Pan’ Movie Review

Quite whimsical and enjoyable. This version of Peter Pan will definitely appeal to the younger at heart. I found learning of Peter Pan from a younger boy gave a different twist to this familiar story. Very colorful and fun to see in Read D 3D.

‘Chappie’ Movie Review

Chappie banner

This movie is a fusion of ‘District 9’ and ‘Real Steel’. The humor throughout the movie is what kept my attention. Two of the characters have heavy accents and one is sub-titled, lol. There are subliminal messages (just like District 9). I was surprised that Hugh Jackman signed on to this movie since ‘Real Steel’ was green lit for a sequel, any whoot.

‘Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb’ Movie Review

Night at the Museum banner

This is a fun movie for the whole family to see this Holiday Season! Just as fun and funny as the original film in this trilogy. The monkey is so funny and watch out for those slick dance moves, lol. Lots of character in all the characters and just plain fun. Also, I believe this is Robin Williams last film…I think he’d be proud of this film. Spoiler: really funny cameo by Hugh Jackman.

‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ Movie Review

XMen

NOTE: AS WITH “ALL” MARVEL MOVIES – DON’T FORGET TO WAIT UNTIL THE END CREDIT SCENE RUNS AT THE END OF ALL THE CREDITS….WAIT UNTIL THE SCREEN TURNS BLACK.

Ok, I could have used a total X-Men movie refresher to understand and keep up with this movie. I had forgotten a lot of the characters. If you’re a diehard X-men fan, you’ll enjoy seeing most if not all characters in one movie, lol. I did really enjoy the storyline and the nostalgic look back to the 1970’s. There’s humor amongst the characters and lots of action. I did see the film in 3D and I enjoyed it. Not a lot of the movie is in 3D but when it kicks in it’s worth it. I think this film definitely fits into the Summer popcorn movie guide. Enjoy! Another well done #Marvel film.
