‘Wonder Park’ Movie Review

The colors and fantasiful scenes are cute yet the storyline is not engaging for adults. Younger children will probably like the imaginary adventure story Judy takes in to help her deal with her mother’s temporal absence. I did not see it in 3D.

‘Peppermint’ Movie Review

Jennifer Garner has made a string of family and faith based movies in the last few years, well I think she was tired of that and wanted to get back to high impact fight scenes like her old ‘Alias’ television series days. The storyline is cheesy and predictable along with unreal continuous successful and gory fight scenes. This is a female vigilante movie.

‘Nine Lives’ Movie Review

If you’re a cat lover, then this is a great family movie for all to enjoy. I was able to see the cgi of when the main character cat starting doing things that cats can’t do, so they could have done better with that.

‘Miracles from Heaven’ Movie Review

Based on a true story (and a book) this movie is inspirational and a great faith based film for the entire family to see together. The movie is about a little girl who develops a stomach disease and there’s no cure for it. She has a bad fall and a miracle happens. It was different seeing Jennifer Garner in a movie like this; her acting is good yet I thought some of the dialogue seemed different for her. This is a T. D. Jakes film and again it’s a good one. Yes, this is a tearjerker.

‘Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day’ Movie Review

A fun and funny family movie. Disney doesn’t disappoint in this comedy in an never ending day of bad situations that son, Alexander wishes upon them and quickly regrets. It’s a pretty predictable movie yet there are laughs.

‘Draft Day’ Movie Review

This movie isn’t just for men, I feel women will enjoy it as well. I expected a very slow film with a lot of football talk yet the storyline about the NFL draft held my attention and the conversations about football didn’t go over my head. I enjoyed seeing the business side of the sport. This is a film well worth checking out. I did of course recognize Deion Sanders yet there are several other NFL pros and/or NFL notables in the film that I didn’t recognize.

‘Dallas Buyers Club’ Movie Review (Oscar Nominated)

I’m just catching up to this really good film. I now understand that the accolades for Matthew and Jared’s acting is well deserved. Great performances for both (yet I HOPE they never lose that kind of weight again for a role). Based on a true story. Definitely worth checking out before the Oscars (3/2) since it’s nominated for Best Picture.
