Is the 27 year wait to take out Pennywise worth it? Scary yet not as scary as the remake two years ago. Still funny. Once I remembered what they need to do to get rid of the clown, my nerves settled down. The studio is already thinking of a 3rd to this franchise even though the original doesn’t call for a 3rd. Definitely long! Surprise cameo…I won’t spoil it.

Now, as a stand alone film, I enjoyed it, except that one character is killed off and it doesn’t make sense since the earlier X-Men films aged the characters (of, course that’s how Fox Studios messed up everything Marvel). There’s lots of action with a storyline that’s engaging enough. NO end credit scenes (because it wasn’t in the Marvel/Disney family yet when it was filmed). Now that Disney has this franchise, I see everything getting better and hopefully merging with everything else Marvel. The August 2019 release of The Mutants is the last of these characters until again, Disney merges them. I saw it in Dolby and it was great.

Based on true accounts from the book of the same name we learn about a very determined young woman who will become successful just not through her physical athletic abilities. Molly comes to learn the game of poker and it’s high stakes very well known players. She attempts to play the game legally but the FBI catches up to her because of the mafia and her addictive mistakes. This movie is intriguing to say the least.

Of all the new movies opening this weekend, this is my favorite! Based on the true story of a married couple that helped and saved lives of many people during the German invasion. Some scenes are hard to watch (especially for animal lovers).

Well, Miss Sloane wants to win at everything and she will say and do anything to get it. This is a strong political movie so if you’re not interested in hearing about lobbying and a lot of political jargon, don’t go. The storyline is a bit long so you could lose interest.

The 2nd installment in this franchise is a prequel and sequel. A director and no Snow White this time takes this film on a different type of journey with the addition of two new characters added. I head a bad preview yet in the end the movie was decent just not as good as the first one even though I didn’t think Kristen Stewart added anything great to it. I hope this film gets a 3rd try at the box office because I like films in this genre and all of the lead actors did a great job but they should return the first films director (not Snow White or at least Kristen portraying her).

I am a sci-fi movie fan and this one is a winner-winner. Better than ‘Gravity’, I thought the storyline was good with picturesque Mars scenery (from what we know it to look like). It’s almost 2 1/2 hours and there are slow parts yet I liked it. I saw it in Real-D 3D. I’m always glad to see #GameOfThrones cast members in films…Sean Bean from Season 1 is in this one (Ned Stark). Also, Kate Mara is co-starring and you can currently see her in ‘Captive’ showing in theatres now.

I’m a sci-fi fan, therefore, I enjoyed the ride. I saw it in IMAX and what a stunning film to watch in that format. The storyline will hold your attention…and in the last half hour it really soars into total “sci-fi”, lol. The last half hour could throw you off if this is not your type of genre. I was surprised to see Matt Damon…I didn’t know he was in the movie. IMO, a much better film than ‘Gravity’. You may want to Google to read about the six different formats the movie is being shown in. In the end, I selected IMAX.
