‘Avengers: Endgame’ Movie Review

Endgame

So, I’m a serious #Marvel fan, therefore, I did enjoy the movie and there are many scenes that made me laugh, tear up and clap for all of the Avengers. For the first time, there are NO end credit scenes yet there is an end credit SOUND that must link somehow to the next phase of movies. I have seen it now two times, in IMAX & IMAX 3D; both nice formats. Now, please stop reading because SPOILERS are next:

1. I did NOT like that Nat/Black Widow is I guess, dead? I must research to find out if the character dies in the comic books. I think she may have been snapped back but they don’t know where yet.
2. I was a little surprised that Vision didn’t return in the time travel.
3. Loki is back when the Avengers travel back in time…there’s a scene that he steals a stone and disappears yet he never re-appears…maybe??? So there may be a twist in future movies about that.
4. I was quite surprised that when Thanos travels back in time, he is such a force for the Avengers to fight altogether. Even with Captain Marvel, Captain America with Thor’s hammer, Iron Man and Pepper suited up etc… it was still a losing fight battle against Thanos, smh.
5. I did not like Iron Man dying yet I’ve heard he dies in the comic books.
6. I did not like that Captain America returns back as an old man and gives up his shield to Falcon.
7. I was surprised that the 2 audiences thus far, that I’ve seen it with did not cheer when Falcon got the shield and when Nick Fury was shown at the end (I didn’t notice him when the Avengers returned).
8. Who was the random man standing with the Avengers at Iron Man’s memorial? He’s shown just before the Shield agents, Captain Marvel then Nick.
9. I have to research to find out what the “sound” means at the end of movie. Answer:  the sound is the same from ‘Iron Man 1’ when Tony was building his first suit.
10. I noticed that Gamora was not on the ship with the Guardians when they left yet she did fight with the Avenger ladies in the last fight scene.

‘Once Upon a Deadpool’ Movie Review

EEOnce Upon banner

Essentially, this is the same movie released earlier this year in May with the exception of it now being PG-13 so a younger audience can now “officially” view it.  This edition has Deadpool narrating of sorts the storyline to Fred Savage.  There are a few end-credit scenes (I only remember the normal 2 in May) with the last one being about Stan Lee…stay until the screen goes black.

‘Sicario: Day of the Soldado’ Movie Review

si2

This sequel is better than the original film in my opinion.  The story line is more engaging yet it’s still quite gory.

‘Deadpool 2’ Movie Review

Deadpool 2 banner

If you loved the bad mouth Deadpool in the original movie then you will love more of what he dishes out in this sequel. More everything concerning Deadpool with a splash of the X-Men mutants which I really enjoyed. There are two end credit scenes (nothing when the screen turns black). I’m a big Marvel fan so this movie is a go kicking off the un-official start of Summer. I saw it in Dolby and will probably see it again in IMAX.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Movie Review

Avengers Infinity War pic

I’m a diehard #Marvel fan and this 3rd installment of an Avengers movie did not disappoint. It was great seeing so many of the Marvel characters in one movie…NOT all of them are in the movie though.  Rumor is that the X-Men haven’t been written into the Avengers yet, because help is needed.  The movie is great and I have already seen it twice in IMAX 3-D and Dolby.  I enjoyed both formats.  Shout out to a fave #GOT character, Tyrion/Peter Dinklage with his cameo scene.  Yes, I plan to see it again and probably in a different format, Super E-Max.  There’s only ONE end credit scene.

‘Only the Brave’ Movie Review

Only the Brave banner

Based on a true story of which I wasn’t aware of details of the story. I had no idea what the devastating outcome of the story was. This is a light hearted movie in the sense of acting until the actual last fire that these brave men fought together and lost together. Quite emotional at the end.

‘Hail Caesar’ Movie Review

Hail Caesar banner

I’m not a big fan of George Clooney movies and this one surprised me by holding my attention. Basically the film pokes fun at movie studios and the goings on in actors personal lives and on-set in the 1950’s. Well known ensemble cast; humorous and not to bad.

‘Sicario’ Movie Review

Sicario banner

Very intense; gory scenes that will make you cringe; several scenes without words. This movie had the potential to be really good yet I thought the storyline was weak with all the good action scenes. The infrared scene was different and added a good element to a scene. Benicio Del Toro usually always portrays creepy roles and he does in this one as well. Josh Brolin is co-starring and can also be seen in ‘Everest’ now showing in theatres.

‘Everest’ Movie Review

Everest banner

Based on the true story of the journey about climbers from two expeditions starting their final ascent toward the summit of Mount Everest in 1996, the highest point on Earth. The weather changes and it turns deadly. I saw it in IMAX 3D which made each scene on the mountain that much more intense; paying the extra for IMAX is worth it.

‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’ Movie Review

Sin City Dame

Gory, dark, cheesy, some humor and sexually explicit scenes in this beautifully done cinematography comic strip (sort of) movie. The storylines from a well known ensemble cast hold your attention with the picturesque scenes.
