‘Artemis Fowl’ Movie Review (Disney+)

Artemis Fowl

A journey filled with fantasy as Artemis sets off to find his dad. I’m not surprised this went straight to Disney+ (no shade) instead of waiting for theatres to reopen as this film misses the bullseye that most Disney films hit.

‘Murder on the Orient Express’ Movie Review

Murder on the Orient Express banner

I will say that this movie is better than I thought it would be.  It’s not a thriller and probably could have been better considering the great ensemble cast yet I was engaged the entire movie.  The “who done it” was twisty till the end yet I wanted a more intense lead up to the reveal.

Based on a true story, the Queen strikes up an unlikely loving friendship with an Indian clerk. Lots of laughs while learning about their friendship.

‘Tuplip Fever’ Movie Review

Based on the bestseller novel…we have a love triangle that the husband is unaware of. This is a sensual story with a lot of heart yet the love is only breaking hearts for everyone directly around the couple. Through the lies, deceit, love, and willingness to help maybe everyone gets their happy ending…even with some humor along the way.

‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’ Movie Review

miss-peregines

Although I’ve seen many Tim Burton films, I usually do not like them (and not because they’re so dark). I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this film. This adventure film was whimsical with enough fantasy entertainment that held my attention. Bronwyn was my favorite character, lol, her strength is something else. I did see it in 3D but I don’t think it’s worth paying for.

‘Philomena’ Movie Review (Oscar Nominee)

philomena

A great heartwarming film about a mother’s journey to find her son that she was forced to give up (based on a true story). Good acting along with a good storyline kept my attention the entire film. Well deserved Oscar nomination for Best Picture.
