Contrary to other reviews, I enjoyed this animated flick. I thought it was funny and appealed to all ages.

‘The Expendables’ Movie Review

Expendables 3 banner

The testosterone filled movie plus one chick this time, is back! The cast is bigger with younger kick-butt characters. I don’t expect much of a storyline from this franchise so overall I enjoyed it as much as the first two film. It’s a shoot ’em up bang bang movie. Antonio Banderas is a good add; as his humor was funny…Wesley Snipes not so much, lol (his character development needs some help). I like seeing a lot of the old school and now new school action heroes together on the big screen. This is a “guy’s” movie so most females may not like it yet I did.

‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ Movie Review

TRansformers 4 banner BB

After a hiatus to re-boot the franchise my faves are back on the big screen. I’m a big time Transformers movie fan and as long as Bumble Bee, Optimus Prime and the other Autobots are present I’m all smiles. I did enjoy the 3D (worth paying for) and thought the clarity of all the action figures was really good. If you’re a fan, you’ll enjoy the film. However, do know the movie is 2 hrs. and 46 minutes and I did notice about 2 hours in that it seemed a bit long only because I didn’t think the new characters connected and/or meshed with the Autobots as they did in the first 3 films. I did miss seeing the Witwicky family and all their humor along with Tyrese G. and Josh D. The 3 former films had better storylines and character development. I am a Mark Wahlberg fan yet I didn’t think he gelled well…maybe just not in this film. We’ll see what happens as the franchise continues. Great seeing #Detroit “transformed” into China, lol (footage towards end of film). I did have to get used to “hearing” Bumble Bee, lol.

‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ Movie Review

XMen

NOTE: AS WITH “ALL” MARVEL MOVIES – DON’T FORGET TO WAIT UNTIL THE END CREDIT SCENE RUNS AT THE END OF ALL THE CREDITS….WAIT UNTIL THE SCREEN TURNS BLACK.

Ok, I could have used a total X-Men movie refresher to understand and keep up with this movie. I had forgotten a lot of the characters. If you’re a diehard X-men fan, you’ll enjoy seeing most if not all characters in one movie, lol. I did really enjoy the storyline and the nostalgic look back to the 1970’s. There’s humor amongst the characters and lots of action. I did see the film in 3D and I enjoyed it. Not a lot of the movie is in 3D but when it kicks in it’s worth it. I think this film definitely fits into the Summer popcorn movie guide. Enjoy! Another well done #Marvel film.
