‘The Harder They Fall’ Movie Review

So, revenge is the plot in this 1800’s “black cowboys” film. There are good outlaws and bad outlaws…choosing your side based on the star studded ensemble cast is hard. Some scenes are definitely gory yet there are some good shoot em’ up bang-bang moments. I will say this, the music throughout is definitely Urban and to me, a bit weird, lol. It ends with a set-up for a sequel. On Netflix on November 3rd.

‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ Movie Review

Based on the true story Of Fred Hampton, the Chairman of the IL Black Panthers. I was educated on the activist journey this young man had in his short life time. Many historical stories have a judas in their camp, as did this one. Compelling acting! I experienced this story telling in the theatre; also showing on HBO Max for a limited time.

‘Uncut Gems’ Movie Review

Well, this movie is at least 45 mins longer than it needs to be. Adam Sandler portrays a jeweler who’s trying to make a BIG sports game score. He has a henchman family that’s after him and so is everyone else. Definitely laughable; it was just okay to me as I expected more.

‘Knives Out’ Movie Review

I enjoyed this clever caper “who done it” murder mystery. The ensemble cast delivers with familiar faces such as other characters we love from other films such as Captain America, James Bond, Laurie Strode (Halloween) and others. The storyline is good enough to keep you wondering.

‘The Girl in the Spider’s Web: A New Dragon Tattoo Story’ Movie Review

Young computer hacker Lisbeth Salander and journalist Mikael Blomkvist find themselves caught in a web of spies, cybercriminals and corrupt government officials. I wasn’t familiar with this character of sorts yet I enjoyed the action and storyline as it held my attention.

‘Sorry to Bother You’ Movie Review

This racy satire film starts off engaging and loses it’s point and drive to make a point by the end of the film.  I was surprised to see Omari Hardwick as I didn’t remember seeing him in early trailers.

‘Crown Heights’ Movie Review

Based on a true story, Colin Warner is falsely accused and convicted of murdering someone in the neighborhood. He spent over 20 years in prison as friends raised money and fought for his freedom. The acting is pretty good contrary to over reviews. Good acting performance from Kerry Washington’s husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, whom he portrays, Carl ‘KC’ King.

‘Get Out’ Movie Review

This is not the genre of movie I usually watch yet I took one for the M.U.S.E. Enthusiasts team, lol. I was surprised that it wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be and if I had just watched the movie without over thinking what else could happen, I would have enjoyed it more. There are scary and gory scenes and lots of humor. It ended the way it should have.
