‘Killerman’ Movie Review

killerman

Based on true accounts…we have a man who can’t remember how he acquired drugs and millions of dollars. Only because there’s an end credit that the movie was based on true accounts did I then think about the storyline. Overall, this is a very cheesy and poorly acted movie with lots of gory scenes.

‘Isn’t It Romantic’ Movie Review

Isnt Romantic

Wasn’t so romantic or funny to me. Maybe it’s just me but I rarely found scenes funny or engaging. I usually don’t like movie scenes that have a repeat sequence. I’m a Rebel fan but not with this movie.

‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ Movie Review

Independence Day banner 2

The twenty year wait for a sequel has finally arrived and is it worth it? I thought the storyline was just okay. The movie is visually stunning especially in IMAX 3D as I saw it in. It was nice to see the character favorites back on the screen but not all of them survive this sequel. It’s a summertime popcorn movie. There’s a hint of a sequel in the storyline yet no end credit scene. I’m sure the sequel depends on ticket sales opening weekend.

‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’ Movie Review

Hunger Games MJ 2 banner pic

The final installment is in theatres now and Mockingjay 2 didn’t disappoint. I was truly bored with M.J. 1 and had hoped for a better movie to end this franchise. I didn’t read the books but I’ve seen all of the movies. There’s some great action scenes and the storyline returned to what I have enjoyed minus M.J. 1. IMAX is always great and I really enjoyed it in that format. Once again, I enjoyed seeing another #GOT actor on the big screen, Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth). My fave of the franchise was the second movie, ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’.

‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’

Straight to the point, I’m hoping Mockingjay Pt. 2 is MUCH better. The plot is slow and there’s not enough action scenes to hold your attention (well, mine anyway). A little humor along the way to try and bring you in. Having not read any of the books, it’s obvious pt. 1 is setting up pt. 2 and let’s hope it revives this franchise. It was good seeing another “Game of Thrones” cast member on the big screen…Natalie Dormer.

‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ Movie Review

Hunger Games 2 banner

What a great sequel! I saw the first film and I didn’t like it at all. Catching Fire was spectacular to look at with a storyline that captured my attention all 2 hrs. and 26 minutes (no end credit scene). I haven’t read any of the books yet I understood the storyline (and later got answers from fans of the books, lol).

‘Paranoia’ Movie Review

paranoia banner

I was excited about seeing a drama/thriller movie with a couple of my favorite actors. A similar storyline to many other movies yet this one has the twist of using futuristic technology as the focal point. Liam Hemsworth’s character, Adam is an entry level employee where he basically gets caught in the middle of a money war with his boss and his boss’ arch enemy. I thought the movie had slow moments that kept me from fully enjoying the movie. Liam has his shirt off a lot and it’s a good thing!
