‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Movie Review

I had really high expectations for this sequel because the first film in this franchise was really good and the trailers for the follow-up to honor the late actor and character are emotional. There’s a scene that I don’t like that ended one character; a character that I think should return that didn’t happen; and something happened that I initially thought would be great did happen in the ONLY end credit scene (what happened to Marvel’s traditional 2 end credits?) I saw it in Super Emax and will see it again in 3D-IMAX. The screen is lush in colors the way Disney does it best. A bit too long and worth checking out.

4 stars out of 5 (my first viewing; let;s see if I up my rating).

‘Black Panther’ Movie Review

Marvel has hit a home run with ‘Black Panther’. The storyline is easy to follow and it tells the back story of how T’Challa became the Black Panther. This is a solid movie for all to enjoy. Disney of course has a blast of colors on the screen and the IMAX experience is great. I’ll check it out in IMAX 3D soon.  Don’t forget to stay until the screen goes black…there are two end credit scenes and the last one is really great!

‘Whiskey Tango Foxtrot’ Movie Review

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot banner

Based on a true story (and book: “The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan”) journalist, Kim Baker shares her experiences of seeing war up close and personal in Afghanistan. It was good to see Tina Fey in a drama type role (yet there’s lots of humor amongst the cast) and she did well.

‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ Movie Review

Hobbit 3 banner

What an epic conclusion to this trilogy.  I really enjoyed this entire movie.  The beginning picks up directly from the end of part two.  Great battle scenes and everything a true Hobbit fan would expect to see.  I did see it in IMAX 3D and it was fabulous!

The 2nd installment in this franchise doesn’t disappoint! Woo hoo, I totally enjoyed all 161 minutes of this movie! All of the characters are back expect one…I won’t spoil it yet he is my least fave of this franchise and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ (but most ppl like him, lol). I saw it in 3D and thought it was pretty ok. Worth checking out this Holiday Season.
