‘The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard’ Movie Review

This sequel doesn’t disappoint if non-stop fighting, shooting and funny as heck humor is your type of movie. The unique ensemble cast re-unites to keep the chaos going. The first scene between Sam Jackson and Morgan Freeman is a classic…it was like “what are you doing in my movie” as they both have a high-box office gross revenue. There’s an end credit scene. In theatres Wednesday, June 16th; I saw it at an early sneak peek.

‘Coming 2 America’ Movie Review

The 33 year sequel is finally here. ‘Coming to America’ is a classic, therefore, I won’t compare the two. I am glad that there are several references to the original film. It was so nostalgic watching this movie and I did laugh out loud several times. The new comers aren’t bad at all (including Eddie’s daughter portraying his on-screen daughter); the gathering of comedic appearances is priceless. The reprise of Sexual Chocolate and the barbershop gang is hilarious. There’s an end credit scene after all credits. What’s missing? a full theatre of fans watching together and laughing. Shown only on Amazon Prime Video. BTW, Wesley Snipes cracked me up. and John Legend does a great song tribute at the end. Lastly, lol, I was sad that Eriq La Salle didn’t have a cameo (Soul Glo).

‘Angel Has Fallen’ Movie Review

This is the third film in this franchise with our lead character portrayed by Gerard Butler still doing what he has to do to protect the President yet this time he’s framed for trying to take the President out. Lots of action, comedic lines from newcomer to the franchise…Nick Nolte and overall an entertaining movie.

‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms’ Movie Review

Loosely based on the famous ballet, is this live action whimsical and classic Holiday story. The storyline is weak yet it’s a beautiful colorful movie to view. I viewed it in Dolby and it was great. Overall, this is a movie to get you into the Christmas mood.

‘Just Getting Started’ Movie Review

Definitely entertaining enough especially for the demographic that all of the leading seasoned actors are.  Who knew there was so much fun happening at senior living facilities, lol.  The chemistry with the cast is good enough to deliver laughs.

‘Going In Style’ Movie Review

The headlining ensemble cast are familiar faces and have good chemistry in this light-hearted comedy adventure of sorts. The storyline is somewhat predictable yet it’s worth checking out.

‘Ben-Hur’ Movie Review

This classic film has been re-made. This film is not nearly as long yet it is a modern look at this biblical story. The chariot race in itself is classic! Great Christian family film.

‘Now You See Me 2’ Movie Review

I really enjoyed the first movie as I did this one yet it isn’t as captivating as the first. The storyline is okay and there’s still humor but it didn’t draw me in this time yet I would recommend fans of the original movie to see this one.

‘London Has Fallen’ Movie Review

Initially I didn’t realize this is a sequel yet I did notice that all the same people were in this movie, lol, duh. Well, I loved ‘Olympus Has Fallen’ and I knew I would love this one and I did. I like shoot em’ up – bang bang movies and that’s what I got with the cheesy lines and big action scenes. This is a popcorn talk to the screen movie. I was a little disappointed at one of the main characters fate.

‘Ted 2’ Movie Review

 

The raunchy teddy bear, Ted is back on the big screen. I found the movie to be funny when it was funny yet there aren’t as many funny moments/scenes in the sequel. That doesn’t mean is not as funny as the original yet just fewer laughable scenes. A little too much time spent on equality for this teddy bear. If there’s a third film, they should keep to the jokes. Ted still has a bad mouth, lol. I laughed out loud a lot and it was funny to see the charater, Donny again in this film.
