Based on true accounts of human trafficking in this country and around the world.  The movie starts as a chick flick love story then depicts how human trafficking happens and how it can be hard to get help to be rescued.  There’s no dramatic ending as this movie depicts a true crime that unfortunately growing.

‘Warcraft’ Movie Review

Warcraft banner 1

I’m not familiar with the video game series or books yet I’m always drawn to a fantasy type movie. I enjoyed this movie especially in IMAX 3D. The storyline is easy enough to follow and almost everything about this movie reminded me of Game of Thrones and the Lord of the Rings franchise, lol. The cgi is sometimes not so good and understanding the orcs when they talk was a bit challenging yet overall I liked it and especially the battle scenes. I hadn’t paid attention to the actors cast and was surprised to see Paula Patton. This one ended with a set-up to a sequel.

‘The Perfect Match’ Movie Review

I was pleasantly surprised to really enjoy this movie! The storyline is good and not so predictable. There’s lots of humor with an ensemble cast that has great chemistry. Chick flick but good.

‘About Last Night’ Movie Review

About last night banner

Here’s a very sexy rom/com being released on Valentine’s Day. The storyline is “loosely” based on a film of the same name from 1986 (which I’ve never seen). This is basically a storyline of two couples on a fast paced quest in their relationships yet they discover they need to slow things down. Kevin Hart is probably the hottest comedian in Hollywood now and this film is his second thus far this year (with two more coming later in 2014). This film is also produced by Will Packer and John Legend has a catchy tune played (as he did in ‘Think Like A Man’) in the television trailer and film. I enjoyed this film and wouldn’t mind seeing it again.

‘Baggage Claim’ Movie Review

This is a large and mostly well known ensemble cast romantic comedy movie with a mediocre storyline. There are laughs (especially Tia Mowry’s character) yet there could have been more depth to the characters and overall movie. A soft start for David E. Talbert in film making (he’s well known for his Plays) yet he’s finally getting his start.

‘Disconnect’ Movie Review

2 1/2 stars of 5

A slow paced movie with a storyline about today’s fast paced world with technology. The storyline gives thought to what we share about ourselves via all social networks and the dangers that can happen. Not a great movie yet your awareness of your identity via the internet gives room for thought. National release 4/19.
