‘Godzilla vs Kong’ Movie Review

The blockbuster theatre released movie that everyone has been waiting for since the pandemic hit last year, is finally here. The nostalgic characters of Godzilla (my childhood fave) and King Kong have epic fight scenes to the death? There’s a bit of a genre switch to a lil sci-fi midway in the film that I wasn’t expecting. Overall, fans of these characters will enjoy this film and how it all ends. The format I viewed it included Atmos. I do want to check it out again in IMAX. No end credit scenes.

‘Professor Marston and the Wonder Women’ Movie Review

Professor Marston banner

Based on a true story, I was unaware that the movie would be so much about the sexuality of the creator of Wonder Woman. The character was created at a time in history that sexual freedom wasn’t accepted in comic books. Wonder woman’s character traits were what William Marston saw in his wife and girlfriend; their relationship was unusual to say the least mainly because everyone was in agreement with it.

‘The Gift’ Movie Review

This is a psychological thriller that moves slowly yet I enjoyed the few layers of twists along the journey. When you think you know who the bad guy is, you may be wrong. There are a few scenes that may make you scream or jump out of your seat, lol.

‘Transcendence’ Movie Review

transcendence

I’m a true sci-fi fan yet found myself never being engaged in this film. Johnny Depp is known for portraying corky characters and this character fits that category yet it’s his worst one. I found the storyline to loosely remind me of ‘Her’ which I didn’t like as well. The concept of the storyline is thought provoking on the “what ifs” yet the movie just didn’t connect in my opinion.
