What a musical delight that was needed for all especially the young at heart during this pandemic. This sequel finds the trolls of six different genres/lands finding out about one another and they learn that their different styles can blend together. Released directly to On Demand and a plethora of streaming platforms.

Based on some true accounts ((as Clint Eastwood is under fire for fiction to some accounts and people) this movie depicts the false investigation into Richard Jewell who was accused of planting the bomb at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. The acting is good and the movie kept me engaged.

Based on true event, Civil rights activist Ann Atwater faces off against C.P. Ellis, the Ku Klux Klan, in 1971 Durham, North Carolina over the issue of school integration. The acting is good and learning about this story was enlightening.

One of the genres is “biography” yet I haven’t researched to find out if the main propaganda is true and if it is then this is a fascinating 2 hours plus film. There’s lots of humor and everything parallels current politics yet I don’t know “if” Cheney was actually running the White House. I expect award nominations for this film.

This is definitely my front runner for award nominations and wins…especially for The Oscars. Great acting and chemistry amongst the cast. There’s a very serious crime that has taken place which prompts the mother, Mildred, of the victim to purchase bill board advertising in hopes of getting the local police to find the killer. Although, the storyline is serious there are lots of laughs.

If you’re a Sam Rockwell fan, you will enjoy this movie. The storyline is very slow and does give the viewer a chance learn the characters. There are a few “grey” areas in the film that are not cleared up. The ending may not be a fan fave (just warning you). Melissa Leo co-stars; she’s also in new release ‘Prisoners’ on 9/20.

What a fun coming up age Summer time movie to be enjoyed by all. The storyline and all the characters mesh quite well together and they should with this great ensemble cast. This is Steve Carell’s 2nd movie released this week and well worth checking out. Lots of laughs, enjoy. Some raunchy humor yet the movie is PG-13. Still in limited release; check your local theatre listings.
