‘Dolittle’ Movie Review

Well, it’s best to not compare this new reboot to the other films of the same name. Probably only small children will enjoy the fantasy of talking animals yet the two children that were in the auditorium when I saw it ran through the aisle and up the stairs during the film, IJS.

‘The Dead Don’t Die’ Movie Review

If you have 1 hr. 45 mins to for utter senseless entertainment, then go see this movie.  I expected laughs and some gory acts yet I didn’t expect the total intended dumbness.

‘Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation’ Movie Review

I think it’s a cute addition to this franchise yet it is geared for younger children. Overall, it’s picturesque and fun to watch. I saw it in 3D and it isn’t necessary to view the movie in good quality.

‘Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising’ Movie Review

Sometimes sequels don’t add up yet I thought this one did. Some of the funniest scenes unfortunately are in the trailers. Overall, I liked it and think it’s worth checking out especially if you saw the first film (which I rated 3.5 stars).

‘Hotel Transylvania 2’ Movie Review

 

 

I really liked the first movie and this one as well. The first one (2012) may have been more enjoyable but that’s ok. Fun for everyone. I did see it in 3D and it was pretty good but not necessarily needed.

‘Getaway’ Movie Review

With this being the last Holiday weekend in Summer you’d hope for a good movie this weekend after a long Summer of blockbusters. ‘Getaway’ does nothing to engage movie goers this weekend. There’s some good action scenes that are a little reminiscent of ‘Fast & Furious’ yet this movie in no way compares to the F&F franchise. The storyline is weak (most of the scenes are in the car); Selena’s acting is weak; I expected more from Ethan Hawke and especially Jon Voight. The movie ends trying to set up a sequel yet if they don’t recast the entire movie and write a new script, the sequel will fail as I predict this one will. I did recognize Rebecca Budig of ABC’s All My Children in the movie; she portrays the wife Ethan’s character. Don’t waste your money on this one.
