‘Venom Let There Be Carnage’ Movie Review

So, I’m a BIG Marvel movie fan yet this franchise (both films) is the weakest link to me in the MCU world, ijs. Venom’s loud voice is creepy yet has these comical lines is a bit disturbing to me because I can’t understand what he’s saying some of the time (reminds me of Tom Hardy’s voice in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ as Bane..yeah, I remember). Seeing it in IMAX is best for the big scenes and yes there is 1 (one) end credit scene that goes into the next Spiderman movie and I’m sure the 3rd installment of Venom. If you’re a Michigander, the Mumford High School t=shirt sticks out as Tom is a fan of ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ films and pays homage; he also has on a Detroit Lions jacket. #venom #marvel #spiderman

‘Venom’ Movie Review

Venom

Venom is a Marvel character that I wasn’t familiar with prior to seeing the movie. I thought it would be a very dark movie and I was surprised with the humor of the human character portrayed by Tom Hardy and the spooky Venom. Overall, I enjoyed the movie. I saw the movie in IMAX; if I should see it again it would be in 3D because there are scenes that I’m sure are cool to view in 3D. Yes, there are two end credit scenes.

‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Movie Review

Star Wars banner 2

Entertaining, engaging, exciting, and eye-popping colors and characters!  I really enjoyed this 2nd installment to the trilogy.  Great storyline and everything that a Star Wars fan wants to see.  There’s a great acknowledgement to “Princess Leia” in the end credits.  I  stayed to the screen turned black but no end credit scene.  I saw it in Dolby and it was GREAT!  I will see it at least twice more because I want to experience it in other formats, so IMAX 3D and Super E-Max screen viewings are coming soon. I’ll update this review to share my feelings on those formats.  A fave of mine from #GameOfThrones makes her mark in this one, #GwendolineChristie b.k.a. Brienne of Tarth.

‘Dunkirk’ Movie Review

dunkirk movie

This is probably the loudest movie I’ve ever seen/heard yet the loudness gives riveting realism to this war movie that is of course based on a true story. There’s not a lot dialogue to really explain what’s going on yet you will be engaged with every word spoken. I saw it in IMAX.

‘The Revenant’ Movie Review

The Revenant banner

To say the least this movie is riveting and lives up to the title! Long only because there a lot of scenes without words (Leonardo). The cinematography is absolutely gorgeous. There are scenes that are hard to watch yet I made it through them (due to so much hype about the gory scenes I became desensitized). I do expect Leonardo to have a long awards Season with lots of wins! This movie is based on a true story. I did find it hard sometimes to understand what Tom Hardy’s character was saying (I think he picks these kinds of roles for some reason, lol).

‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Movie Review

FB_IMG_1431663501399

Well, my review is all over the place with this one, lol. Visually it’s stunning and the action/fight scenes are epic and fantastic in 3D. I didn’t care for the under developed script and scenes with little conversation. Should there be a sequel, I’d hope for a better script. Also, Tom Hardy should skip on more roles where he wears a face mask, IJS.

‘Locke’ Movie Review

Locke Banner

This is a one-man movie that takes place in a car! I so admire the talent of Tom Hardy yet I totally disliked this film. My one star is solely due to his ability to carry the film by himself (he talks to ppl on the phone during the car ride). Lots of profanity.
