‘What Men Want’ Movie Review

What Men Want.jpg

I laughed out loud several times during this film especially during the Erykah Badu scenes…she was hilarious. The film is funny for a passing rating from me. I liked the gender flip of the script of hearing the thoughts of men.

‘Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween’ Movie Review

I really enjoyed the first movie in this franchise depicted from the books. This one is not so funny and fun. There are laughs and scares yet just not as much fun.

‘Hello, My Name Is Doris’ Movie Review

Doris banner

Here’s a movie for a range of ages. Doris is an older woman who develops a BIG crush on a much younger new employee at the company she works for. Going in I really couldn’t believe that two people with such a big age gap could connect romantically. I won’t give away the end. The storyline with the laughs held my attention and overall I liked it from the perspective of both main characters.

‘Think Like a Man Too’ Movie Review

Here’s a Summer sequel that’s hot! I so enjoyed the continuation of the characters of this movie. Lots more jokes that the original film that is depicted from Steve Harvey’s book’ “Act Like A Lady – Think Like A Man”. All of the actors are back to show us how their relationships have developed. There’s a sort of music video that the girls perform to the old school song “Poison” by BBD (Bell, Biv, DeVoe) that is very funny! NOTE: There’s an end credit scene…WAIT TILL THE SCREEN GOES BLACK. I understand there’s a soundtrack that primarily features Mary J. Blige (I loved the soundtrack from the first film).

‘Blended’ Movie Review

Blended

This is in my opinion Adam Sandler’s best comedic movie! I soooo enjoyed this movie….there’s of course humor (not too much to annoy you) – laugh out loud humor, dancing and romance. The cast has great chemistry and “blend” well together. Terry Crew’s character, Nickens, is hilarious and appears at the right moments. Overall, all the characters are funny and it’s a movie for all to enjoy. Let’s get the Summer popcorn movies rolling.

P.S.
There are several Sandler relatives in the movie including his children.

‘The Single Moms Club’ Movie Review

This movie has the potential to be a sequel and a first-ever trilogy (of the same title) for Tyler Perry yet he drops the ball in his writing and directing. The storyline is mediocre and needed more development especially for seasoned actress, Nia Long who co-stars in the film (along with her son Massai Z. Dorsey who portrays her son in the movie). Cocoa Brown and Terry Crew’s characters give us the comedy when it’s needed. There’s a poignant scene in the film that I loved…having a support team/girlfriends/social club to have your back in the good and the bad. No matter how strong a woman is, there are times when she needs to “hear” this from her friends. I would like to see a sequel to this title with a better storyline. I also thought there were too many long pauses in the movie that reminded me of Tyler’s ‘Haves/Have Not’ soap-opera drama series (which I do like).
