The 3rd installment in this franchise delivers! I went in with no expectations (as I had heard one bad and one good review), and I was pleased that there’s a storyline with all of the shoot-em-up bang bang. The chemistry and jokes are still present with these two and it was entertaining. Stay for the two end credit scenes (I’m unsure if there’s one when the screen turns black). SPOILER: definite set-up for a 4th movie in this franchise; hopefully more sooner than later).

I was pleasantly surprised that this savvy animated movie held my attention and kept me entertained. A good family outing movie.

When your doppleganger chases you to take you out, you have to show the “copy” that you’re the original. That’s what Will Smith’s character is facing in this high-octane action movie. Storyline is predictable yet the cgi and action is awesome. I saw it in IMAX and it was great.

I didn’t go in expecting to see a duplication of the animated 1992 classic; I rated this movie as a re-inventing of the original, with that, I enjoyed the film. Disney of course didn’t disappoint with the lush colors and eye-popping scenes. I saw it in IMAX 3D and it was great. The music is fun (a couple of the originals are not sang as well) and it entertained me.

I expected this movie to be “dark” based on the trailers. I didn’t expect to fall in love with this movie. The storyline is sad for this time of the year, especially for anyone who has lost a child. The end of the movie leaves you wondering if angels really do exist. Strong performance by Will Smith. Definitely worth checking out…tissues may be needed. Great ensemble cast.

Since advance screening reviews started coming out, I’ve read about not so favorable reviews. I’m not a fan of DC comics but I have seen all of the movies. I totally enjoyed the movie from my stand point. It’s an enjoyable summer time popcorn movie. I thought the character build-up was good. I saw it in IMAX 3D and it was great. There’s one end credit scene that build to the Justice League movie. No need to stay until the screen turns black because there isn’t another scene (I waited).

Based on true story about the NFL withholding findings that players who suffer concussions can experience symptoms of a disease that can lead to their death…usually by suicide. Will Smith gives a stellar performance as Dr. Bennet Omalu.

Focus keeps you guessing the entire movie on who’s telling the truth. I enjoyed the ride of the romance and drama. This is a different kind of movie for Will and I liked him in it. It ends with a set up to a sequel. It’s the number one movie this weekend yet had a low box office.

If you’re a Sci-fi movie enthusiast, then you’ll find this movie mildly entertaining. There are moments with shock value and futuristic creatures yet the weak storyline becomes predictable as the movie continues. This movie is really 100 minutes of Jaden building his acting skills to become a movie blockbuster contender in years to come; Will takes the backseat to let his son shine. ‘After Earth’ is not a flop and I did find myself routing for Jaden’s character, Kitai. This is a family affair movie in front of the camera, as well as, behind the camera. Will wrote the story and he and Jada are amongst the producers with M. Night Shyamalan as one of the executive producers the Director and screenplay. I usually don’t like films of M. Night Shyamalan yet this one gets a passing grade. It was good to see Zoe Kravitz in another movie. I also noticed another “pinkett” as a producer.
