‘Chips’ Movie Review

Chips movie

Inspired by the 1970’s television series this movie turns the popular show and characters into a racy comedy. One of the original characters is furious about the raunchy comedy movie yet one character makes a cameo appearance. This movie appeals to the male demographic; the movie is okay with some laughs.

‘Life’ Movie Review

Life movie

I’m a big fan of sci-fi movies and in the end this movie was a winner-winner. The storyline is a little slow and predictable yet it’s engaging. I thought the ending would have the twist that I thought it would.

‘Power Rangers’ Movie Review

Power Rangers Movie

The Power Rangers are an old-school classic Saturday morning live-action and animated television series. I vaguely remember the live-action show yet I wanted to tap into a bit of nostalgia. I thought the movie ran like a “Saturday morning tv show” which may be good for super fans. The movie was entertaining and depicted what it should have. There were cameo appearances of characters that I didn’t recognize yet most of the audience cheered for. Don’t get up so quickly as there is an end credit scene (just one so you don’t have to stay until the screen turns black).

‘The Belko Experiment’ Movie Review

The Belko Experiment banner

This movie to say the least is VERY gory (my eyes were closed a lot).   It’s basically like a “Purge” at your job that your boss mandates. Some scenes can be comical (as the audience was laughing). The storyline was really senseless.

‘Table 19’ Movie Review

Table 19 banner

This movie was funny to me yet most critics didn’t think so. An ensemble cast that struggles for chemistry yet has individual charm.

‘Beauty and the Beast’ Movie Review

Beauty and the beast banner

The classic animated story has been re-boot into a live action film and it’s definitely worth checking out! The storyline is basically the same with a few mild changes (nothing that I found overkill). The screen is a visual collage of colors as I expect from Disney films. Fun for all to see. There’s singing and they have as many songs as they should have. I saw it in IMAX and it was beautiful!

‘Kong Skull Island’ Movie Review

Aren’t most King Kong movies cheesy? Well, so is this one but it’s full of action, scary scenes and laughs. I really enjoyed this re-boot of a classic monster. There’s a great end-of-credits scene!!! So, don’t leave until the screen is totally black. I saw it in IMAX-3D and it was great!

‘A United Kingdom’ Movie Review

Based on the true story of an African Prince/King who falls in love with a white British woman. There’s opposition everywhere and they have to literally fight the world for justice. A little slow yet I enjoyed learning their story.

This is a beautiful heartwarming movie as we approach Resurrection Sunday (Easter). Christians and anyone curious about God’s love towards all men will enjoy this film. This is a great film for all.

‘Before I Fall’ Movie Review

before-i-fall-banner

Based on the book (which I didn’t read) we have a young woman re-living the same day over and over again until she realizes that she must gain purpose in her life. The demographic for this movie is surely tweens/teens. I don’t usually like movies/shows that repeat the same scenes yet they didn’t over do this one. I enjoyed seeing Sam learn what she must do to make things right yet I didn’t like the ending.
